Hypothetical question draft content*

He would drop based on the reason everyone else in here is saying. Running backs aren't valuable and you shouldn't take them in the first. I do think that mindset is changing. Your seeing guys like Jenty Gibbs, Bijaun and Hampton prove their worth. But not everyone is ready to accept that change. This dropping his value

The things I've been hearing about him is that he's going to be taken in the first round because he is that good. Many analysts believe that he is the best player in the draft.

I agree. That's what I'm hearing and seeing when I watch his clips the way he moves is Reggie bush like. He's a difference maker athletically. We don't have anyone like that on our roster offensively that just moves like an elite change of direction speed type. He's a first rounder for that reason.

Now if everyone is saying he's a first rounder based on talent, we aren't bringing back dowdle, we don't know what we have in brooks or if he will be the same when he returns, Chubba is a fine back let's not act like he does anything at an elite level. He's not super fast break away speed or power change of direction. How would love not even be considered?

Who says Love will be bpa at 19? You cannot go by mock drafts or someone else's rankings. Even if he was bpa there's a reason he would drop and that's the fact he's a RB.  No, we are not going to take a RB in round 1. Ask Marty Hurney how many wins CMC added to this team.

I think that goes both ways ask how many wins CMC added to the 49ers or if they even have an offense without him. That said I think love is more gifted than CMC in every aspect except catching the football.

Your question was "What say you?" My answer was "absolutely not".

Hey I'm a draft guy I only post usually on the huddle when it's draft season combine numbers metrics and talent excite me. So forgive me for challenging your draft thoughts I like the conversation.

I'm not like most people in this thread in regards to Love. I'm not like most in regards to RBs either. I think certain ones will always be drafted in the first round because they are valued that highly. From an on-the-field perspective, they are as valued as ever; business-wise and contract-wise at times to re-up, that's where things can get tricky with valuation. That being said, Love oozes potential and makes higher-ups' mouths water. I know that he if somehow he is available at 19, he will be considered if not taken. You don't leave that type of talent on the board unless there is another compelling player of arguably equal or more value at another position of need that may have a higher priority (like maybe Sonny Styles). Now all that being said, I  don't realistically see either one of them being there at 19 according to the draftniks.

I do not disagree with your philosophy at all and typically I don't believe in RB in the first round but I think if you want a super talented guy like exceptional those guys go in the first round You're not getting Gibbs or love or Bichon or saquan you're not getting those type transformational figures anywhere but the first round I think our need at tackle is temporary

Hey friend, we both know there are no winners or losers until the draft is about 3 years old.  We all pound the table like we have the answers , but if we went back and read our comments from 2021--we'd have to change our usernames to save face!!   RBs are devalued, so you could get the best bang for your buck by taking a talent like Love.
