Well this will either be the year he takes the big step or they move on.

Or he takes another baby step and they buy in. Sorry lol but that is the pattern.
not gonna even think about if he starts out playing like he has his first three years.  I can’t hope for it but I would like him to give them a definitive answer. That might be one.

no surprise here whatsoever. Dan Morgan & David Tepper are 100% committed to developing Bryce Young moreso than winning

it's really sad we have to do this every year at Qb when there are much better & cheaper options than this same never ending  nonesense of trying to fix a 5' 8" 180 lb. Qb who will never have the physical attributes to truly compete in the NFL..just saying

Well we just are not in a situation to dump him currently. We are in the small minority of non fans. The casuals are near 100% in on him. Playoffs!

and there are way more casual fans than critical fans.

Can't say I'm super excited about Arch Manning, Dante Moore, and Lanoris Sellers being in the top 10 of qb's available next draft lol. I might be on the Chambliss train if he gets to play another year and continues an upward trajectory

Lot of time for things to reveal themselves. I basically agree.

Sellers has all the tools.  They brought in new OC and it is all about getting him back  on track.

There will be others to emerge.

I only saw a little Mannng but I wasn’t getting excited at all. Seems like a lot less than we were led to believe he was going to be.

Sellers looks too slow to be a dual threat so we'll see if he can elevate his passing/pocket game. Didn't watch much Arch either but seems like unless he really has a drive he's just rolling on nepo baby cred. Dante Moore looked ok but reminds me of a Brissett or Tyrod Taylor guy, can get it done but nothing earth shattering

I like the guy we just signed.  Ga Tech. Just keep taking shots.
I think there may be some interesting guys under contract this year that may be out there next year.
I guess I just want us to do like I wish we had done instead of drafting Bryce. Well, him particularly but the trade was ill advised to start with. Horrible. Then they made it even worse.

Let’s don’t get so desperate we do that again.

I mean, can you imagine if we had kept Darnold, who would have been cheap, and added to the roster the way we have done since Bryce?
Fitterer would still be here.  Maybe Reich. It wouldn’t be what we have now bringing in the talent. But just put Darnold and DJ and all those draft picks with Canales and Morgan and daydream about it. All those picks. We still could spend big in FA. Sheeit.

I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.

he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped?

I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.

Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes.

Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.

Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.

FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
