How would YOU predict a QB's success?

Jimmy Clausen has a lame name; for people with lame ass names there are mental speedbumps at every turn. They know what they are, and they cannot succeed at quarterback. Conversely though, a decent name does not guarantee success; it is however, highly favorable. 8 out of 10 qb's with multiple super bowl wins have cool names. Straight up.

This is perhaps the best analysis this board has seen in months.

hmm.. I think we want to pass on QBs in the first round, then.

Cam Newton? Fig Newton anyone? Come on, he's practically Jimmy-Pickles-Clausen reborn with a food nickname like that!

and Blaine Gabbert? Need I say more?

IMO Clausen definitely came in 4th out of the big four in the name category last year. Some would say Sam Bradford but I disagree. It is a simple name but it's simplicity is what makes it perfect.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has just enough alliteration to roll off the tongue smoothly.

And Colt McCoy, I mean his name is Colt and he played at Texas. Nuff said.

Jimmy Clausen just has no flow or alliteration or coolness about it.

I actually think he may have been more successful if he would have gone by Jim Clausen. That sounds like a kickass business man to me.

"Hello. My name is Jim Clausen and I will be your quarterback today."

continuing with that logic, I am now starting the Ryan "The Hammer" Mallett bandwagon!
