Buffalo our best friend?

Getting away from all the smokescreen theories I noticed yesterday that buffalo took cam out to dinner last night and there are several articles about how gailey loves athletic QBs with Cams skill set. So, this actually works out really well for us bc if anyone (Washington, Dallas, etc) want Cam bad enough they will have to trade up in front of buffalo to get him.

The fact that Buffalo seems to want him so bad may give us the ability to trade back. No smokescreen, just simply if one of those teams want him the precedent has been set that he wont fall past Buffalo. Which gives us ammo and makes that first and second pick more valuable.

Or we could just take him but that's a whole other story...

maybe if we can convince Buffalo we will draft Cam #1, they will offer their 2nd rounder and the #3 to pick Cam...basically getting back the Armanti pick.

at #3 we could get Fairley/Dareus, PP, AJ Green or Gabbert potentially.

It's funny that almost everyone to reply so far totally missed the point of the original post. It doesn't matter if Carolina or Buffalo really want him or not. If teams that are in love with Cam think Buffalo will take him, they are more likely to trade for the Panthers first overall pick.

Honestly I doubt they worry about trading up for Newton. Gabbert is considered very athletic as well and one of the two will be there at number 3. Why give away the farm when you have 2 guys with similar skills sets and you know you will get one of them staying right where you are.

The chances of us trading the pick are slim. The smoke screen stuff has been blown out of proportion. There is not one player in the draft good enough to have teams falling over each other to trade up for. If there is, we should be the ones taking that guy!!!!

Or they say lets trade with Buffalo for their pick which will cost less and we are okay with newton or Gabbert. No need to mess with Carolina at all unless they give it away for less than Buffalo.

I absolutely give up...why would you trade WITH buffalo to get the guy that BUFFALO wants!!! All I'm saying is that it's becoming more apparent that cam will NOT fall past buffalo...so if someone wants him that is after buffalo they will HAVE to trade past buffalo to get him. That involves trading to the 1st or 2nd pick. Buffalo's interest in cam makes our pick more valuable.

Hitchhiker: You heard of this thing, the 8-Minute Abs?

Ted: Yeah, sure, 8-Minute Abs. Yeah, the excercise video.

Hitchhiker: Yeah, this is going to blow that right out of the water. Listen to this: 7... Minute... Abs.

Ted: Right. Yes. OK, all right. I see where you're going.

Hitchhiker: Think about it. You walk into a video store, you see 8-Minute Abs sittin' there, there's 7-Minute Abs right beside it. Which one are you gonna pick, man?

Ted: I would go for the 7.

Hitchhiker: Bingo, man, bingo. 7-Minute Abs. And we guarantee just as good a workout as the 8-minute folk.

Ted: You guarantee it? That's - how do you do that?

Hitchhiker: If you're not happy with the first 7 minutes, we're gonna send you the extra minute free. You see? That's it. That's our motto. That's where we're comin' from. That's from "A" to "B".

Ted: That's right. That's - that's good. That's good. Unless, of course, somebody comes up with 6-Minute Abs. Then you're in trouble, huh?

[Hitchhiker convulses]

Hitchhiker: No! No, no, not 6! I said 7. Nobody's comin' up with 6. Who works out in 6 minutes? You won't even get your heart goin, not even a mouse on a wheel.

Ted: That - good point.

Hitchhiker: 7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office.

Ted: Why?

Hitchhiker: 'Cause you're freakin' fired!

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
