Grits in the South

I eat my grits mixed in with eggs over easy and sausage.

being raised in west texas i was never introduced to grits, it was cream of wheat....after being introduced to grits when i moved to the carolinas it reminded me of cream of wheat......so naturally it needed some sugar......

Butter and a little pepper. But I can't eat grits by itself. Usually goes with my weekly huge breakfast that consists of scrambled eggs (yeah, with ketchup, WHAT OF IT!?), liver mush, grits, bacon, and toast/biscuits, orange juice and milk.

I've never had sugar in my grits and it doesn't appeal to me what so ever.

Butter, salt, pepper and occasionally cheddar cheese.
