Consensus Big Board

Clearly you didn't read the article or you would have seen right at the very top,

Does this mean that this list is right? No. But it does mean that it is a composite average of the top 10 from people who are payed a lot of money to know a hell of a lot more about the draft and college prospects than anyone on this board.

The "real" experts will show their cards on April 28th. These guys are good but we will find out the truth when the draft actually happens.

These guys are paid well to be smarter than us. But the FO's are paid more than most of these guys and have more on the line when the draft actually happens.

I can answer most questions about Dareus that anyone might have. I have inside connections within the U of A athletic dept. Dareus would be a fine, fine pick for Carolina; a Julius Peppers type pick. He has incredible speed for his size and knows the game at the pro level TODAY...no other pick in the top 5 has the pedigree, training, coaching Dareus had. He's a no risk player on the field and off.

Yeah but he called out coach a "kid" so fug him. :D

^I agree completely.

I just get annoyed when people post condescending comments about a story that they obviously didn't read. And scoff at the idea that the collective minds of 7 or so people who, for the most part, their entire job revolves around evaluating college football talent. And all because said experts didn't include their favorite player in their top ten.

Why people want a guy outside of the top ten as the first pick overall is beyond me.

It's really very simple. Some of us, including me, feel we must improve the QB position through the draft and not depend on some stop gap solution.

Some of us also believe Newton is a much better prospect than Gabbert.

Maybe we could trade down and still get him, but I don't think anyone really believes that is possible.

You may find this reasoning suspect given your personal preferences, and that's fine, but understand that people on the other side of the fence put thought into this also.

That is a lucid, intelligent, well thought-out objection. Over ruled.

Not really all that relevant, but take a look at the definition of his arms:

Good lord. Sorry, but saw that pic and thought it was pretty impressive.

Look at the lack of definition in the arms of Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees, Rothelisburger, Rivers and ask yourself if it makes any difference. I'm more worried about what's between his ears.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
