ryan mallet = drew bledsoe as a crackhead

So follow me on this one...

If Mallet=Bledsoe+Crackhead then...

Mallet=Bledsoe+Lawrence Taylor

So Mallett= QB who threw for 251 TDs + LB who recorded 132.5 sacks

That means Mallet will solve our problems on offense and defense. I'm sold, someone get Jerry on the phone!:cool:

I think that the fact that Gabbert led his team to a 10-2 record during his junior year speaks a lot for the type of QB he is...a winner. It has also been said a lot by Mizzou fans that the guy just wasn't a good fit in the spread. He came from a pro-style offense out of HS and continued to actually work on that skillset during college.

Cam Newton's stats are majorly skewed IMO. I like the guy...I do. But you can't compare the season he had to Sam Bradford because Bradford did it as a pocket QB who never ever ran. Cam scored like half the TDs running the ball.

Right now I think that Newton and Gabbert are pretty even as prospects. I just like Gabbert more because I think he has more potential INSIDE the pocket because he isn't going to use his legs as much as Cam will want to.

From Schefter:

Q: Mel Kiper had Blaine Gabbert as the No. 1 overall pick in his latest mock draft. If you were the Carolina Panthers, would you go with him or a defensive tackle?

-- Harry (Ark.)

A: Harry: My sense throughout this offseason has been that Gabbert would be the No. 1 pick. Gabbert is the best quarterback in this class and it's a quarterback league. Carolina needs someone at quarterback to compete, especially in its division. It faces the Atlanta Falcons (Matt Ryan), New Orleans Saints (Drew Brees) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Josh Freeman) twice a year. If Carolina doesn't have a quarterback, it's sunk. To me, he has to be the Panthers' pick.
