If we draft Marcell Dareus

I don't know Delhomme's record as a starter off the top of my head but I would say he is a winner.

Delhomme had no season with the circumstances that either of QBs had to deal with this past season, sorry.

I would say the 2004 season was as bad as this year. We lost a bunch of veteran starters and played with a bunch of backups starting off 1-7. Difference was that Jake put the team on his back and made a great run at year's end.

It may be easier said than done but I would be willing to bet that the coaching staff could work wonders on Fairley.

Everyone flips out just because a guy is built and had an impressive pro day. If pro days when Super Bowls then I would say sure go with Dareus or Gabbert.

However, since they don't I would like to see Newton or Fairley in a Panthers uniform next year.

Just the fact you think its about his pro day shows you are one ignorant person who needs to shut their pie hole cause you don't one 1 thing you are talking about.

Would anyone be opposed to trading our 2012 first so we can have Dareus and PP?

NO MORE trading away our next years first round pick! Espc now..... since they will still need a QB and there would be no chance of getting one next year if they had no #1 pick.

What do you mean "if" we draft Dareus. It should read "when"

we draft Dareus. We will be getting a starter from game 1. He

will be eating up QB's and stopping the run, he will tie up 2 blockers

and free up our LB's. He will be making plays period. He would benefit us

greater then any QB in this draft class. The only QB i'd consider is Gabbert

but Dareus>>Gabbert and Newton is a joke.

The only reason I dont like the Darius pick is because I dont think there is anyway he lives up to the 1st overall pick. I dont think he is as good as Suh. if anything he will be statistically more like McCoy. I know in last years draft everyone said McCoy was the pass rusher while Suh was the more balanced but during the season Suh stopped playing the run as well and became mainly a pass rusher while mcCoy focused on not making mistakes so he played the run.

All I am saying is that if we hit on a QB it will have a much bigger effect on our team than it would to hit on a DT.

    • I hope you understand that this Anti Bryce thing as you call it is really a pro Panthers thing. I think I can safely use we. We want the best for the Panthers.  As far as this other post saying ‘Anti’ Bryce people do misinformation.. you mean like going all in on “Renfro should have caught” that poorly thrown ball? I guess it was week 1. And calling it a drop. Comical btw.  I wonder, did you call that out or let it slide because it aligned with your agenda?
    • These are great posts with the comparisons and the numbers.   I haven’t lookyat Smity’s numbers since probably the first time he was on the ballot.  But if you watched every week you know what he is. Whatever his yardage or targets numbers were.  He was fuging dominant. I have watched since the AFL days and seen who there is to see. There are many great WRs over the years. GREAT WRs. Smitty is up there in the game of football.
    • Smith is clear cut HOF if you judge what he did by reception. Fitzgerald was a stat padder.    The most Steve Smith was ever targeted in his career was in 2005 (150 targets). The same year he wins the triple crown.    Larry Fitzgerald was targeted more than 150 times over 9 separate seasons. Not once eclipsing 1500 yards in a season.    The over glazing of Larry Fitzgerald going around is way over blown. ARZ was top 10 in passing attempts nearly his entire prime. Steve Smith and Andre Johnson had it far worse and would have surpassed his #s in the same situation.
