NFLPA gives up on "alternate draft event"

I could'nt understand why the NFLPA would want to take something so special away from any rookie. Walking on that stage in the draft is something every NFL player drafted should have the right to do, no matter what the problem's are between player's and owner's.

Per Albert Breer (Twitter)

They'll still be holding events around the time of the draft, but decided not to compete directly.

Glad to hear it myself. The whole "rookies should skip the draft" thing was a huge boondoggle.

You are being too PC. It was pure chicken poo. Good they aren't trying to screw these kids over anymore.

I have said the same thing and feel the same way. It is selfish of the current players to ask these kids to not participate in the draft. There is going to be football eventually and to rob them of this once in a lifetime experience is purely cr*p.
