Retirees file suit attacking the 2011 Draft

They are just jumping on the "gravy train". They are counting on Nelson giving the union (and retires) everything they want. She was appointed by the Obama administration under a democrat controlled Congress. I really don't see a favorable judgment for "the man" (the owners) coming down, against the (or any) union. But it COULD happen...I guess

Different lawyer trying to make a name for himself. That's all this is. He wants to be known as one of the guys that sued the NFL.

And line his pockets (hundreds of $$$ per hour billed) , cause they ( the lawyers) are the only real winners here (regardless of the outcome)....

Part of me wonders if this wasn't encouraged by the NFLPA at least a little.

They screwed up big time with the whole "rookies shouldn't attend the draft" thing (which they're now trying to claim they never said) and they know it. But I'd guess they still want to somehow assail the draft, and this would be a way of doing it without being directly connected.

Anything is possible. I hope that she is at least fair. Regan was a pretty fair President, though. I remember the last 2 Supreme Court nominees Obama appointed, just makes me think Nelson may be of the same mold.

Don't know if Doty was making contributions to Republican Presidential campaigns, either. Nelson has for Clinton (Bill) and Kerry. Shows there is a left leaning, regardless.

Hope I'm wrong, but not holding my breath.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
