Pretty amazing album. "Should Have Known" blew me away. Probably their best in a decade.

This is true. They recorded it on actual tape and had to actually splice the tape with a razor blade or w/e they use to do the editing. It sounds really good. They hooked up with the producer who did Nirvana's "Nevermind" and also brought in Krist (from Nirvana) to play bass on some songs, etc.

impressed. i have my own tape machine to do recordings...the sound beats the hell out of pro tools...but editing is 8 billion times easier in the box

Yeah I Love the new album. They play it all in the Letterman stream. Wembley was great, they are huge in the UK/Aus, at least record sales wise, guess they don't download as much there?

I want to see them live, everything I've seen of them from shows seem like they do very well live. Taylor is a mad man at the kit.

I really think they might be one of the few bands from now that we may look back at as legends. They keep progressing as a band. The double album wasn't a huge hit but them making an entire acoustic album showed they take risks and I thought that it was a good album. I think they are really great musicians, especially Dave and Taylor. Plus, Dave seems like the coolest guy ever, what all rock stars should aspire to be.

You can just tell they like to play music just to play music.

"I Should Have Known" is such an amazing song, it may be my new favorite, over "Hey, Johnny Park".

They were on SNL the other night, I thought the two songs they did were kind of meh.

The only songs that is kind of "meh" to me on the new album is "Back & Forth" and maybe "Walk" but are still solid. The other 9 songs are awesome.
