Blaine Gabbert's hush hush character issue: underage drinking, fighting

We've heard everything about Cam from that time he cheated on a test to that time his smile was fake. But why haven't you heard about the time Blaine Gabbert got into a fight when he was publicly intoxicated while under 21 and involved in a fight outside a restaurant at 1:30am?

COLUMBIA, MO (AP) -- Freshman Missouri quarterback Tyler Gabbert has a broken nose after a weekend fight outside a Columbia pizza parlor.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that Gabbert; his brother, Blaine; and linebacker Andrew Gachkar got into a fight with another group of men outside Gumby's Pizza around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. No one was arrested.

Police say the fight involved taking too long in the bathroom.

A police report says the players and the others involved likely had been drinking, but no one was ticketed or arrested. Of the three players involved, Gachkar is the only one of legal drinking age.

Both quarterback Blaine Gabbert and Gachkar are starters. Tyler Gabbert is in his first semester at Missouri after finishing high school early.

Be honest, how many of you had heard of this incident before you read this thread?

I want a QB that fights.....

"Get out of the stall now, Motherfugger!"

Not the point of the thread. My point is why hasn't this been mentioned anywhere yet every little possible negative about Cam down to the legitimacy of his smile has been published in draft reports?

Because he is maybe half as good as Cam and no one really gives a poo about him.

    • Dude you're all over the place. Bryce definitely played better than average down the stretch last year. That's what I said. I dont think it's controversial, and I think it's true based both on stats and by actually watching him play. He was the 6th rated passer by PFF during the last 8 weeks. In no world is that below average You trying to twist this into something else is a you thing.  Have a great night
    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
