The Killing is based on the wildly successful Danish television series Forbrydelsen and tells the story of the murder of a young girl in Seattle and the subsequent police investigation. Season one will consist of thirteen one-hour episodes and will debut with a 2 hour premiere on Sun., Apr. 3 at 9PM | 8C.

The Killing ties together three distinct stories around a single murder including the detectives assigned to the case, the victim's grieving family, and the suspects. Set in Seattle, the story also explores local politics as it follows politicians connected to the case. As the series unfolds, it becomes clear that there are no accidents; everyone has a secret, and while the characters think they've moved on, their past isn't done with them.

Looks like "Twin Peaks" but without the strange....and pie.

I'll check it out. AMC been solid with their original programming. But I'm still pissed they canceled Rubicon.

Yeah I'm pissed about Rubicon. The show started too slow for most people though, and by the time it hit its stride the viewers were pretty much gone. I liked it though.

AMC does the damn thang.

They have evolved from a station that plays John Wayne/Clint Eastwood movies to a network that seriously rivals HBO for the best series on TV...honestly, you could make an argument that AMC is better than HBO right now.

I thought it was very good actually. Lead actress played it fine, like a vet cop, etc. I liked her character on "Big Love" and I'm glad she got a shot on here.

I like how the main cops aren't the typical cops you see on TV/movies.

It's still early to tell but so far I like it, and I'm really bored of cop shows right now but I think this will be different.

    • I don’t want to see another high pick put into WR or offense that isn’t OL or QB. At least not again it would make something like 5 straight years, we are at 4 straight years with 1sts and 2nds used on the position now. Too much to have one player left from all that. So he gets another go at it afaic.  If they can bring in someone to compete with him that is undrafted, a FA on a prove it deal, some cheaper route, go for it.
    • Because Bryce can’t throw a true deep ball.
    • The original hope was that he was just raw, and with some coaching he could blossom into a big time playmaker. Turns out he’s not just raw, he’s got no fundamentals or mentals of any kind really. You keep him as long as he’s cheap and try your best to coach him up no matter how futile it may seem.  When the time comes you cut him loose.
