Internet in NC sucks

I know families that have switched from greenlight because it's not supported by xboxlive or something. My son knows more about it than I do, since they're his friends. For sure, his friends couldn't play xbox using greenlight.

And considering we have just about the highest electric rates in the US, I don't consider greenlight a big woohoo. I hate Wilson.

Xbox will support any Internet (as long as it isn't dial up). My guess is they are having lag issues or something.

Lag on fiber optic?

Hrmm.

My parents have Clearwire and I'm pretty sure they're getting download capped. Not to mention the speeds are anything but reliable and fluctuate like hell. Not that there are alternatives...

I have Clear too and hate it, but I hate timewarner worse so I stick with it.

Yeah I mean I think TWC is starting to realize that people are "smarter" now when it comes to ISP and what is involved in them, they did upgrade their ISP "packages" lately. I'm suppose to get 10Mbps down with standard RR and their Turbo is suppose to get 15Mbps but it rarely happens. Nothing will change around here till TWC really does have true competition with speed. At&t is their main one now, but they still can't advertise speeds close to what TWC can.

And after reading that article about TWC doesn't surprise me about the reputation that they have sometimes, I work at a retailer that really has reps from everyone (TWC,AT&T,Verizon etc) so I get the whole talk about who is better blah blah. I was talking to a TWC rep one day to see what kind of bundle I can get with Phone since I need it for CPI (found out the hard way Ooma wont work with them) and just asking a question they went ahead and "signed me up" and sent a tech out two days later to install. Would have been charged till I told the tech no thanks and leave please.

(actually I've boycotted TWC all together).

I had planned to do the same thing once I got away from them. Unfortunately, now that I live in Hickory, I'm stuck with Charter. SMH

The speed is actually pretty decent, when you can get it to work. I have to reset the modem about every other day.

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
