Panthers to draft Cam Newton

Wtf are you talking about? Did you watch the 2nd half? In the second half he threw 2 TDs and rushed for one. He was 13/20 with 3 TDs and 39 yards rushing with 1 rushing TD to finish the game.

It doesn't matter what he did in the 2nd half! That's the Alabama Crimson Tide not the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons or Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

You're getting obsessed with the college credentials, but what I'm saying is that most of his success in college came because he had the ability to pull it down and run against defenses that would be like I-AA if NFL teams were in college football.

He'll never be able to run in the NFL when he wants. This guy's not Michael Vick. He's 6'6" and the NFL linebackers WILL put the hit stick on him 3x worse than 'Bama did because they're all superstars.

You evaluate him as a pocket passer coming from a spread offense and really the only positive is that he has a really strong arm.

None of the QBs in this draft are even worthy of being drafted in the Top 20. They're going to ruin the Carolina Panthers organization by making this pick instead of being patient and getting a veteran QB once the CBA or drafting a pro-style rookie for better value and developing him.

It amazes me that people feel they know more about talent evaluation than NFL teams...Newton is on top of the Panthers board. They have worked him out, met him, done extensive research and still people say he is a "guarenteed bust"...as if to say they know something that professionals don't.

And as far as Clausen I don't see how he is a bust even now...I swear some people act like we picked him top 10...he is a second round quarterback. At best he could be a solid starting QB and at worst he is a average backup...what else do you expect from a second round QB???

John Fox is my uncle and he told me the Broncos were trying to slide back to 3 with Buffalo going to 1 and us going to 2. He's not happy about it but he said that's what they plan to do. He knows we want Dareus and so does he and he feels we are more comfortable taking him at 2 and management for them is fine with PP7 or Miller.

.

First of all those NFL teams had a heck of a time tackling and destroying The Golden Calf of Bristol in his three starts last year who is an inferior runner.

Secondly, don't you think it was amazing how he ran for those 30 TD passes??

wasn't there someone like last week who claimed to know someone who said we were taking newton, and then three days later he said it was misinformation? I can't help but be sceptical. PM the name and position..just so i can google the name, etc. If you don't, i'll still kinda believe you...

sent it to you via rep :D

2 things:

1) did you see Josh Freeman running last year against the Panthers??? But according to you a 6-6 guy can't do that in the NFL??? Hmmm....

2) draft a pro-style QB with good value that we can develop...wow that sounds awfully familiar to what we did last year. Hmmmm....

You are beginning to lose some credibility here.

but im making a list of the huggers, and slowly and surely, newton will eventually be off their sigs, avatars, and cocks.

Technically I think the Huggers are on Cam's cock, not the other way around.

He probably doesn't know who we are.

Just semantics.

Why did you bring The Golden Calf of Bristol into this? He's another guy that's going down the drain. He has one good game and all of a sudden he's a hall of famer but when he throws 30 picks he's going to get a free pass.

Of course Newton's going to throw 30 TD passes in that spread offense. Auburn had the best defense in the SEC, Michael Dyer at RB and a great offensive line. Any QB who can't throw at least 20 TD passes with all that going for them is sorry.

If the Panthers are smart and don't want to be the #1 overall pick 2 years in a row, they'll pick Patrick Peterson and then they'll go defense again in Round 2 and MAYBE in Round 3 they'll go QB.

But of course, they're going to be dumb and pick Newton/Gabbert.
