You would think neither had much in common. but they do!

what's up with people who meet someone and get engaged 2 months later?

was hanging out with a friend (I guess you would call it) about 2 months ago. He met a girl a few weeks after that, and now I see he's engaged.

what kind of personality disorder requires a person to get married THAT SOON when life still goes on?

*no offense to anyone with personality disorders... Also, no one with a personality disorder was hurt in the posting of this message.

Some people live under the delusion that love is something that is in place from the minute you meet somebody. They also get fooled by the early stages of an intimate relationship where you're still trying to impress the other person. Give it a year, when they start to take off that facade and show their true colors, and it will be over faster than the last time I had sex.

my first wife and I dated for over 2 years before we got engaged and we divorced 4 years in

my second wife and I never officially got engaged until we were dating a little more than a year, but we knew we were going to get married a couple months into our reliationship and we've been married 15 years. We only waited because I had to get rid of wife 1 first!

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
