Are the panthers that bad?

I think we will do better for two reasons: (1) we will retain most of our talent because the players are excited about the coaching staff (2) the new coaching staff will have passion to do well unlike Fox and company who didn't gives a damn because he knew he was out the door.

as far as talent I think at DT we are worst the leauge by far, one of the worst DT corps of the decade.

QB was horrible.

The house of cards pretty much fell apart after that, it's hard to know who was really the problem when you can't pass the ball and are getting gashed on the inside.

I can understand outside sources seeing us as the worst of the worst. They mainly just look at our record from last year and judge accordingly. Most have no idea who we have on our team.

Having talent isn't the only thing, it isn't even the biggest thing needed. A team has to be well coached and the players have to be in sync in order to find success.

The 9ers and Skins have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball as well, and they've been "Eh" for a few years now. Our team, like their teams, will perform a lot better if they can just "gel", and receive above average coaching.

Shows more how in today's NFL without a franchise QB you cannot win just look at the squads picking at the top of the draft.

It does play a big part in the success of some teams.

Jets for example, I don't really view Sanchez as a franchise type qb. Sure, he's found some success, but I view him and the Jets more along the lines of being well coached and in sync than I do anything else.

I wish more people would open there eyes and see Sanchez is not even in the conversation as to why the Jets are good. He had a worse QB rating than Chad Henne and the worse completion % outside of Clausen and Anderson who can barely even be considered NFL QBs.

I don't think he's a franchise QB just YET he could be though the guy does find ways to win very clutch I'd take him over our guys without question.

I think we'll be back very strong. We've got the best defense in the NFC South. I think the Saints are a finesse team that we can man handle if we get the right coaching and offense going.

2 years ago ESPN would have said that we were one of the most talented teams. We still have a lot of those players, and now we're not apparently. They can eat dick.

We've got:

1. A top 6 DE and an interesting set of pass rushers.

2. The best RB core in the league (undisputed)

3. Top 3 LB core

4. Top 5 Offensive line when healthy

5. A fast and decent set of playmaking safeties.

6. Some promising young WR's and Steve Smith. Smith is still good, if you watch the games the NFL still thinks so.

7. A CB that when motivated is top 10.

Just need to establish QB and bring in a DT we can be proud of.

well, we certainly aren't good but lacking talent at the most important position in the game is mostly to blame.

Thats why we cant pass up on the Quarterback position. We have the number 1 pick in the draft. Its Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert. They both are pretty good Quarterbacks, but if i have to choose i will go newton and if some of the rumors is true Newton has to be the favorite. He will benefit for our team the most then Gabbert will. People might look at us as been a really bad team. But we arent as bad as they pursue us to be. We have two good Running backs we have a good Offensive line when healthy and a all pro reciever in Steve Smith. Cam should be able to shine in our new system.
