This is the crew that put blind faith in Tommy Jone Jake, and unproven and undrafted Matt Moore but theyre too good to believe in the #1 qb prospect. LOL. This offseason has gone just as i thought. The Panthers don't. They have a deadline.

When you judge guys that are coming from a simplified system, you can go by things like the Wonderlic and, more importantly, personal interviews and white board sessions. The Panthers were smart this season in that they gave themselves an additional tool by setting up the "playbook quiz".

None of us knows how good - or bad - any of the prospects did in that test. I am glad to know it was done though.

I have no idea whether he's dumb or not.

I do know that he's inexperienced when it comes to running a pro style offense, so I don't know whether he can pick one up, and that's a concern.

The way he answered Gruden's questions in the video didn't really do anything to alleviate that concern (arguably just the opposite).

Pro style experience certainly doesn't guarantee success (look at Clausen) but it makes the mental transition easier. Don't know how anyone can argue that.
