Most important question this week: Do u trust Hurney & Co

Honestly, I believe this is the most important question to ask yourself this week. The truth is a lot of us may think we are experts here, but only Hurney, the coaches, and the front office has access to all the information to make an informed decision on who we draft with the #1 pick.

The truth is we have to rely on them. If we had access to all the information they have access to maybe some of our opinions would change. The interviews with the prospect, seeing how the qb's did with the playbooks, hours and hours of scouting videos, the private workouts ect. That information is important to forming a valid conclusion and seperating one prospect from the next. Right now we are all coming to conclusions with incomplete data.

So with that said do you trust Hurney and Company to make a good decision with all the information and data they've gathered??? Some fan bases don't trust thier front office at all, while others have complete faith in theirs. Where do you stand with Hurney???

No matter what the decision (even if it is not what you wanted) will you trust that player must have been the right choice based on infomation they gathered, or will you question their decision??

At this point, I still trust in Hurney and trust our new coaching staff, and will believe whatever pick they make it is for good reason. Even if it is Gabbert who is the player I probably least want to draft.

What say you??

I was always weary of the Hurney/Fox combo when it came to the draft amongst other things. Now that Rivera has a big role on this I do trust that they will make the best choice and will feel confident that they have. Its tough decision and there are never any gurantees that you made the right pick and it could be years before we can 100% say we did or didnt.

Bottom line justified or not i feel forced to trust them.

With the first pick, yea I trust them. The only pick that would really make me slap my head and call Hurney a number of not nice names would be Fairley. Also, no trading away next year's #1. Prefer no trading of future picks at all, but if it gets us back into the 2nd without losing much next year (say next year's 2nd and this year's 4th or something to that effect) I'd be ok with it.

i trust hurney with the first pick...not so sure after that

Very true.... Houpefully after day one there is not a player that Hurney feels he has to draft.... Otherwise There goes our #1 pick next year to the patriots to move back to our 33rd pick....

When is the last time We had a draft without giving up a pick from the following year? 2007?

    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
    • Well, seeing as we play the Lions at home this year, pretty sure that rumor isn't true.
