I say Pep lands with the Titans, Dallas or Pats.

At first I thought it would be Philly (2 1st round picks) then I thought Miami might be the one (2 2nd round picks) but now I am leaning more towards Houston or Denver. Who knows.

I don't understand the Houston connection. Anyone care to fill me in? They are already paying Mario Williams an assload and will want to resign him during Peppers contract...

The Houston connection is that his agent is based there and he spends much of the offsason there. But they play a 4-3 and aren't in the market for another DE.

I think Arizona makes more sense than Houston. They are going to a 3-4, think they might be one of 2 players away from winning the Super Bowl and Peppers spends his offseason there as well. Of course they have the 31st pick in the first round which isn't good for us and might not be that interested since they are still compiling their defensive staff from what I have seen. They might not be ready to make a move. As for Miami, he has already said he would like to play there.

New England won't be able to even sign Peppers if they wanted to until they trade Cassell. They might not be able to do that in time to even be in the running.

Peppers is staying in Carolina. Hurney wants him Fox wants him and so does meeks. the only way he is going anywhere else is we get a ridiculous offer for him and its a team he wants to play for.

I bet you have a better chance of lining up at DE for the Panthers on opening day than does Peppers.

Dallas with no 1st this year makes no sense

Yeah, I think it's becoming more and more evident that the Panthers are just gonna hold pat and keep him here unless they get exactly what they want. They value Peppers whether the fans do or not. They'll take Peppers disgruntled but having to play lights out for next year over not having Peppers with a less than desirable trade. It will be hell on the fans who've had their knickers all bunched up, but that's the way it happens...

    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
    • Except it wouldn't be Rodgers leading them on a postseason run, it would be the defense and he's there to not screw up their great games. Which is why..... This times a million. I didn't watch a ton of the Jets last year, but from what I did see, Rodgers himself didn't look like a bum, the team just struggled and was more than likely due to poor coaching on the whole.  The Steelers don't need MVP level Rodgers to win games, they just need him to be good enough to make some plays when it matters because the defense is keeping them in games every week regardless. In their 7 losses last season, the Steelers scored 10, 13, 17, 17, 17, 19, and 24... while giving up 19, 20, 24, 27, 27, 29, and 34 in those games.  With only marginally better offense last year, they probably end up winning a few more games too. They only scored over 27 points in 3 games last season. I think this is a great move by the Steelers and if Rodgers can stay healthy all year, will get them back into the playoffs and could make some noise if their defense is up to the normal level of a Steelers defense.
