  1. His problem is he wasn't Bill Rozinski. Mick was hokey and corny.. it’s time for a change.
  2. This just isn't a realistic option. Cam was on the last year of his deal. There were 2 options #1) Play out 2019 on the last year of the deal and franchise him for 2021 (this was never going to happen) #2) Extend him prior to last year.. You'd be sitting on a 32 year old QB with presumably 3 years and 100 million left on his contract.. He wasn't taking a hometown discount. So the better shape thing I don't agree with.. You'd have a QB on the downside of his career behind a line (that you'd still not have much money to fix) and a franchise RB that can't stay healthy.. The best alternative would have been to let Cam walk (in a much more dignified way) and NOT have picked up Darnolds 5th year (roiling the dice on Darnold wasn't the bad play here, picking up his option before he took 1 snap was)... Imagine sitting here with 0 dollars tied up at QB going in to 2022?? Only having CMC's awful deal on the books is much better than 2 awful deals on the books.
  3. Shaq and Chuck are both 1000% correct. Good for Joker.
  4. Even if he didn't have all of this baggage, its a bad idea.. How do you fix a line with 1 competent NFL caliber player with little cap room and no draft picks? Darnold has been garbage, but the line is head and shoulders the biggest problem on this team- and there is no apparent solution.
  5. Considering we have a 1st and don’t pick again till the 4th, we are going to need to see some magic.
  6. Terrible plan Terrible execution Darnold was garbage This game changed when Rhule started waving the while flag on that punt before half.. that coupled with halftime (which the staff actively plans how to take the entire 3rd qtr off) was all Philly needed. Had every opportunity to step on the neck and failed to do so. Matt Rhule coaches not to lose.
  7. "According to the Carolina Huddle, only players from Temple or Baylor are put in a position to succeed, how do you plan on overcoming your lack of pedigree?"
  8. Love it for the LOLs… but this dude isn’t close to a 6 million dollar player. trading a 1st and 3rd for a dude that was a health scratch in the Stanley cup finals is a but much.
  9. Summer league is brutal to watch.. there is no flow to the games, all these u drafted and/or fringe roster guys trying to get theirs makes for a bad brand of basketball.
  10. Not welcome here.. but as a Rangers fan, Martinook is one guy that is getting plenty of chatter on the boards. He's the kind of grit most teams are in short supply of.
  11. There are too many retired numbers in sports.. retired numbers should be for absolute luminaries. Honor numbers, honor greats.. celebrate those guys, but the number should live on.
  12. Combine is late February and early March Charlotte average temp's are 59/38 on average for that period of time.. No dome = No chance.
  13. I bet Seattle takes Jake Bean.. Or maybe Skjei
  14. Well.... there are only a handful of dudes in the league that wouldn't be an afterthought to Doncic
  15. Brutal.. What makes this extra sad is that for the Olsen family to have a positive outcome, another family will endure an unimaginable loss.
  16. I very much enjoy a healthy Hayward... But man, would it be nice to have that extra 9 mill in cap space from the Batum stretch.
  17. This team has been ravaged by injuries and the lack of any competent/consistent big man play. I'm not sure why JB is taking any poop for this season, they overachieved and then get decimated by key injuries. The way this roster is constructed, optimal health was the only thing hiding its key flaw. I also think Melo might have hit a bit of a wall- his injury sure as hell took the wind out of his sails. This team is a big man and some health away from being 4/5 best team in the east..
  18. in college Darnold- 57 TD 22 INT 846 attempts Allen- 44TD 21 INT 649 attempts But please, go on.
  19. I love the Huddle... Panthers could trade a future 7th for Jesus and it would be a colossal mismanagement of draft capital. But trade 2 future number 1’s for the opportunity to move up 5 spots.. Do IT!!!!!
  20. Yes... I think the concept of retiring jerseys is stupid unless you are an absolute all time great in the history of the sport (MJ, Gretzky) or you so impactful you must be honored (Jackie Robinson). The Ring of Honor (or similar recognition) is how you memorialize your all time greats. I believe I remember seeing that Notre Dame has a sign in the lockler of each player with the names and feats of players who wore the number before they did. Might be the best way to keep history alive and well. Cam being a world beater wearing #1 shouldn't keep another guy from wearing it. Same goes for 89, 69, 80.. etc
  21. So basically a 1st round pick for Turner.. that’s a terrible deal from Indiana’s perspective
