This is going to be a major cluster fug. All over maybe $500 million either way.

Now that both sides have let emotions cloud their judgement, they are probably going to have to settle it in court or under some kind of mandated mediation.

I just can't see either side extending an olive branch to get them back to the table.

I saw that as well.

This could be over for the time being.

That said, never underestimate the connections a group of 32 Billion/Multimillionares have.

Good...and BTW, if you really think that she just made her decision today and typed up all 89 pages you're :sifone:

This decision was made weeks ago. This woman is a damn Judge... I can guarantee that her wording really is that tight. Her career and reputation is on the line. The NFL has lost already! The only way out for them is to "PAY OFF" the eighth circuit... yeah, I said it... That' the only way they can get out of this Catastrophe that was self imposed!

Only problem there is... Those guys want Football too... I guess we'll see if everybody really has their price. Because these guys certainly have the pockets!

Some of you absolutely amaze me. But also the reason that I blame the fans as much as I blame the players for this situation. (The owners don't get off entirely either since it was their own fault for agreeing to the previous deal in the first place.)

This ruling wasn't surprising to me but I was hoping for the best and it didn't happen. Basicly at this point there are only two possible outcomes to the situation now.

1) The NFL will work out a deal through litigation that will eventually be the basis for a new CBA. This CBA will still allow for a college draft but the salary cap, tags, restrictions ect will all be gone as well as all profit sharing among owners. In order for the owners to keep the draft they will probably have to give the players a vet minimum. Eventually the smaller market and/or smaller revenue teams will have to relocate or the league will have to retract.

2) The end result of option 2 could happen either by way of the players or by way of the owners. And that is no more CBA, no more draft, no restrictions ect. The owners could decide just to do this to by pass any court rulings. Or the players could achieve this outcome via a court ruling forcing this outcome.

I really don't see any other outcomes. The owners will not go back to the previous CBA and the players are not willing to do a deal worse than the previous CBA. A true and free open market is the only outcome where both sides can feel like they come out winners.

      If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
