What to do?

I'm in a tight spot. My procrastination, coupled with going home this past weekend for Easter break, has got me in panic mode. I have 2 papers due tomorrow, along with a presentation in my 8 o'clock class. I have a weird habit of over-sleeping if I don't get around 7 hours of sleep or so, but it isn't an every time thing, it is very sporadic.

I have two options, the way I see it:

1) Write the papers tonight and get to bed whenever I get to bed.

2) Stay up all night, no sleep, and write the papers so I do not over-sleep and miss my first class and my presentation.

The first option will put me in bed well after midnight, but I don't know exactly how late it will be. The second option will have me dragging ass all day, but I don't have anything to do since Wednesday is the last day of classes before finals, and I haven't got anything to really do because of this (all tests are done, so only some notes).

What do you guys think? Pull the all-nighter and fill in the free time after I get done writing with playing Xbox or pound out the papers and take my chances with over-sleeping?

Yeah, I was leaning more towards staying up, I just hate doing it ever since I did it a couple years ago and got sick (I drank a lot of soda rather than water all night and I ended up crashing all day and getting a stomach ache).

I try not to stress about it, but it is tough. Especially considering my summer break starts a week from Wednesday and I just want it to be over.

You don't have an alarm clock?

I do, but I'm a heavy sleeper. If I get to bed at a decent hour, I hear it. If I don't get around 7 solid hours (which is really closer to 9 hours total) then I don't hear it at all. It kicks my ass.

As far as writing the paper, I'm committed to staying up at this point. I'm just going to put it off a little longer so I don't have a lot of time to kill after I'm done before class.

when i was in college, i pulled an all nighter one time. i felt like absolute garbage for the entire next day. i never did that again. even if it was 3-4 hours of sleep.

also i didnt stress about school. def not worth it.

Being in the same situation as you (multiple times actually), I'd just go ahead and stay up all night and get it done. Might as well knock both papers on out the way.

I've had plenty of all-nighters (probably 3-4 this semester alone) and I think my procrastination problems will make yours seem like good planning.

That, coupled with the fact that you'll live and you have all summer to sleep and be a lazy ass, and i'll think you'll be fine.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
