UDFA's for the Panthers (Who do you want?)

Recommended Posts

Opposite of Squirrel's thread, this thread is soley based on who the Panthers should look at out of the UDFA's when they stay is lifted (hopefully soon as long as the proper rules are in place). There are still some real good players out there that did not get drafted that could be decent players in the future. Who do you think the Panthers bring in, and who do you want the Panthers to bring in out of the UDFA class?

I like...

WR- Darvin Adams, Auburn (I know some don't like him but Cam and this kid were unstoppable at Auburn)

I'd love to get Noel Devine and turn him into a nasty returner. That guy is pure lighting. He has a ton of heart (watched a lot of WVU games). He's small though, but I think if we use him correctly he could be an asset, maybe somewhat of a Sproles type player. But he is FAST.

Darren Evans from VT is also a beast RB. If we plan on losing DWill I wouldn't mind snagging him also.

Darren Evans-That guy runs like a battering ram but was forgotten about after his injury and Ryan Williams showed up.

Kendric Burney-He should have been drafted. And we could use another CB.

Watch this and tell me you wouldnt want evans (before injury)

S- Deunta Williams, UNC

OLB- Mark Herzlich, Boston College

WR- Terrence Toliver, LSU

CB- Kendric Burney, UNC

Those would be the 4 guys I would bring in. Especially Burney. I know everyone says short and slow is a bad combination but the guy is a player and I think he could be ok in the slot for us.

Toliver is a big, tall guy that seems to be in the mold of a Chargers WR.

Herzlich is just a fighter. He would be a great guy to bring in with our locker room getting some "troubled" players. Herzlich would be a leader beside Beason that could really connect to the young guys and be a special teams beast. And who knows. if he gets healthy he could be a super-steal.

Finally Williams fell because of an injury but at one point he was a second round safety. I know we dont need a safety but hell if we can get him why not.

Two guys from USC:

Weslye Saunders- Guy was projected as the number 1 TE coming into the 2010 season. Would have put up HUGE numbers in that offense.

Garret Chisolm- If you haven't read his story, it's a MUST read. Here's a synopsis

- Had a troubled past (ie not his doing) that sent him to several small colleges before winding up at USC

- Showed up at USC tryouts and completely showed out with very limited experience

- While on the practice squad, several starters, along with Steve Spurrier, were yelling about him not being in the lineup (remember, this is a walkon in the SEC with extremely limited experience) after showing out

- Worked his butt off to get into the starting lineup... the strength and conditioning coach even called him crazy because of how early he wanted to get up to workout

- Lost both his mother and father in a very short time span

- STILL kicked butt in the SEC

Guy is a must have. May not be a starter right away but could be big time down the road.
