Probably the worst superhero movie of the year, the best being Captain America.

thor set the bar pretty high already... coming into the year i assumed cap > thor too, so hopefully i'm still right and both movies will end up being awesome

I'm over superhero movies (and the rest of you will be too in 2 years). Move on, Hollywood.

Been saying that for two years. Said that after the crappy TV movies. Superhero movies are here to stay, unless they start making Howard the Duck sequels.

They'll never get old to people who read and like comic books. I would go see an El Aguila movie if they made it.

totally. they are going to get 3 movies on the Avengers at least. Thor for sure will get a sequel.

Then S.H.E.I.L.D, the Inhumans and that's just Marvel.

I will probably watch it just for the entertainment.

Yes, Thor really set the bar high but the Green Lantern just looks hokey.

yes, GL was hokey, but that's how most old school comic books were in its day.

GL was okay. Nothing special but ok. It kept me entertained.

Special effects were sup par and so was the acting, but the story was decent. Hal Jordan seemed more like Guy Gardner (for those of you comic book nerds who know of who Guy Gardner is [completely badass]). The plot was thin and the special effects were sub par, and the will power from the ring (racecar rescue was lame), but yet this film kept me entertained for 2 hours. If you're expecting an academy award nominee, then stay far away (but if you expect that from any comic book film then you are fuggin' retarded), but if you are looking to waste two hours with nothing else better to do, then the new GL flick is not bad at all.

Anxiously awaiting to see if they make a second. They certainly set it up with Sinestro getting hold of the fear/yellow ring. I wish Sinestro turned bad in this film, but it is what it is.

I missed Thor in theatres, so I can't compare it. I hope to watch it pretty soon.

Did GL show the superiority of DC films over Marvel? No. Only Great DC films so far have been Superman II and the Batman movies. But yet GL was entertaining.
