Why in the hell do analyst think we have no talent?

This is getting ridiculous, It's not like we've been in the sh*tter for years like the Bills, and Lions.

On Defense

1. We have an outstanding group of LB's.

2. We have a monster DE named "Charles Johnson" who was 5th in the NFL with sacks and a group of promising DE's like Brown, Brayton, and Norwood.

3. We are OK in DB's we have Godfrey, Martin, and Munnerlyn.

On Offense

1. Promising WR's who have shown talent all this season, but how could they "Breakout" when they haven't been getting the damn ball dumba**es?

2. Tight ends: we've recently signed Shockey who should be a star on offense if he stays healthy.

3. RB's: We have arguably the best depth in that position in the NFL, with all star's like J-stew, D-will, and upcoming star KR/HB Goodson.

So take notes.

They're looking at our offensive talent level, particularly our WRs, and they're not impressed. They also know we lost Peppers on defense, and didn't go out and get a big FA player to replace him.

I don't think our talent level is extremely low, but we're certainly lacking in comparison to other teams in the league.

Yeah, let's blame all the offensive woes on the QB... smfh.

Because it is, how in the hell are the WR's gonna get the damn ball to make a play?

Stewart and Goodson did well running last year, but they couldn't get it done by their selves. And like Deangelo said, running is established through QB play.

So the offensive line has jack to do with it. The POP warner play calling is moot too? Give me a break. You open up the passing game with the run. The run game last year was sporadic at best, inconsistent. Blame EVERYONE not just the QB..

Sure, QB was sooooo not a problem that we just drafted a QB with the #1 pick for depth.

Please , read my post again. Never did I say the QB Was not PART of the problem. He is just that. 'Part' of the problem. Oc is gone, fox is gone as well. The run game will hopefully get a good start, the o line will be back, Otah will hopefully not be hurt.

I don't believe its fair to place the blame on a sole position. If you honestly believe that by drafting cam it will solve the problem then you're in denial. That's my .02 on it.

I think the biggest part of it is that the Panthers have *so* much in the way of untested personnel and I do include Ron Rivera in that lot.

I feel pretty good about things. Sure, I'm kind of a pragmatic homer, but a homer nonetheless.

The analysts are looking at things as objectively as they can, and all they can really praise for certain is our stable of running backs, Beason, and the emergence of Charles Johnson in 2010.

You could, of course, throw Steve Smith into that mix, but there's so much speculation on his possible departure, that it's hard to do so.

So anyway, all that said, is there really a good reason for analysts just give us any real props? Not really.

All I'm really saying is that we have a lot to prove over the next two seasons if we really want to be back in the mix, and that won't come easy in the NFCS.

Charles Johnson is not a "monster" and never include E. Brown as an "up and coming DE". Frank Garcia says it almost every day on his radio show, Charles Johnson does not make defensive coordinators lose sleep. He does not require you to double team him every play like some true monsters. E. Brown is dead in the water if a tackle gets his hands on him, which by the way, happens way too often. For Brown to pressure the QB, a tackle has to whiff on his initial punch or take an incorrect step out of his set.

That being said, we are not as sh*tty as many say we are. Our O-line was held together by duct tape last year. WR, maybe so.

    • I truly do not understand why we rushed him back last season, we were a bad team with an already productive back in Chuba. Brooks looked like he was 60% back and clearly hadn’t regained full movement in his knee and confidence, no surprise he got reinjured. Shame on this training staff, look no further then Chuba returning too soon this season, I don’t care how bad a player wants to come back a training staff is there to protect them. Brooks is a great person and was an amazing player prior to both injuries, I hope he’s recovering well.
    • Brother thanks for sharing and all. Just for a 21 year army guy you sure over used your brain power on this interaction little too much...  Not that's Im taking a side or nothing, Ive never been a bully fan * in extreme deals bullying in needed..... I've heard from smart people in and around Panthers, Smitty needed Angie for guidance BADLY.  I've honestly thought if Smitty was born 20 years later, he should have taken a MMA path and not only would he have been a champion but a humbled good man with or without Angie helping him. He has never took off the enmoureous chip on his shoulder and it has branched off as a stick in arse over time too. Still everyone can not be or act the same with emotions, we are chemical sacks of water and bones. He reminds me of brain-washed individuals that can not turn off the switch. Plus he is high on thinking he's smarting than he is.......its a dangerous combo, but that's mainly what gave him the edge in life to live out the American dream......soooo I dare say change, but its sad at the same time. All those poor women that get involved with narcissistic disloyal men, one of the few times I agree to take what ever form them in court...
    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
