he did do his job but he needs to get better at it, to take up a roster spot he definatley needs to be booting them out 90% of the time

That's nearly impossible, because of the effect cold weather has on the kickoff ball's, once you get to the last two months of the season and it gets cold, those things are like rocks. That being said, he lead the league in TB and KO distance and is tied for second all time for most TB with the new ball.

We need to win the field position battle, and he helps us do that. Sure he wasn't perfect as the year went on, but overall I think he's worth the advantage that he brings. The only issue I have is the roster spot being taken, but if it means we win more games I'm all for it.

    • It’s all about the money. If the coach is an a hole but the team makes the finals more often than not, he’ll be called a great motivator and knows how to get the most out of his players If the coach is an a hole on a losing franchise, he’s a borderline criminal.
    • They're adults. Boo hoo they got cursed at, I was getting cused at in little League and pee wee football at 7. Absolutely freaking ridiculous
    • if Jaycee gets hurt we are screwed.  I know the board thinks we are another year away, but I think we're closer, and I'd love to get a FA corner.    Constantly losing destroys a teams confidence and desire.  Winning helps build the team...the lockerroom gets confidence, and energy breeds off that.  I think the team will develop more as a unit when we win more.  And that will move us forward exponentially.   The Saints comment after we beat them the second time last year...."that's not the same team we played earlier in the season" is true.  The players bought into Canales, even those who went through the Rhule bullshit.  We just missed out on beating the defending Super Bowl champs last year.  Our WR and RB rooms are stacked.  Our big problem was the DL and we certainly addressed that this year.    Go ahead and build on defensive depth, get another CB.  Let's go for a winning record this year, it will help build our culture.  Finally a new culture.  It's been missing since Riverboat.
