TWC hate letter

TWC sucks.. but Dish and DTV fug out when it rains or gets windy and TWC still performs. If you're a lazy person who doesn't feel like paying less for a combo you build yourself, shut up

and pay your damn bill. You've always got the free antenna stations if you want out.

you need to upgrade your Ish.. technology has fixed these issues.. or else you had a dumbass install it (which is ENTIRELY possible)

My experiences with TWC were mostly good. Prices were lower for the channels I wanted than Directv, and their uptime was better than directv. Internet service was mostly good. I had some issues with their help desk, when my router went out and it took them forever to admit that it was bad.

Switched to directv because they had some channels my wife wanted, but I would switch back to TWC in a second.

As far as Direct TV going out in a storm, I recently had my equipment upgraded. Technician said they had fixed the problem. They didn't and it still goes out in a storm.

I have ATT... sorry, can help you out.

plenty of friends have the HD/DVR setup and it works great. I'll try to take a spontaneous day off from work when the weather is bad and force my friend to do the same just for you! ;)

it's obvious you haven't had DTV in the last year or 2...

you're technician is an idiot. also, please tell me he wasn't driving a "company truck" that was more abused than Tina Turner with a magnet sign more f**ked up than Steve Buscemi's teeth..

Maybe I got two dumb ones in a row, because two different technicians came out afterwards, and confirmed the setup. I don't see how a satellite comms cannot be impacted by in some way by something as powerful as a thunderstorm. Even when I was in the military, our connections were sometimes impacted by storms. Fortunately a ship can usually avoid storms.

cable initially comes in through satellite as well.. people don't realize you have to deal with the same issues. the major downfall with cable is the signal being spread over everyone in your area. unlike with ATT (cable), where everything has to be within 3000 feet of a signal booster. I can't tell you how many friends with TWC in the downtown area have a stretched screen due to this..

I have DTV and it has to be a really heavy downpour for me to lose the signal and then it's just usually for just a few mins. until the storm passes.

most people don't have issues.. but as with anything, nothing is 100%.. most things that knock your satellite out will also knock out cable (for the same reason)..

TV is boring. All you needs is the over the air free channels and I rarely even watch those. With the internet you can pirate everything (tv shows, movies and lots of foreign entertainment) and if you fear the wrath of satan for such actions, you can get Netflix for a lot cheaper than cable.

In the last 3 months. Road Runner has been up all day for exactly 14 days! Otherwise Road Runner is down anywhere from 4 hours to 14 hours a day! It's tough to make a living on the internet when you don't have it!

TWC have blamed my wireless router, (I replaced that twice finally going with theirs for $50 and $9.95 a month, still have problems!). TWC has blamed my computer, so I bought a new CPU, I still have problems.

The inside techs say it's a line problem. The line techs say it's a inside problem. And I can barely get wireless service in my bedroom even when it's working! (I get a better signal from a condo 2 blocks away then I do from my living room!)

TWC has blamed everything from Sun Spots to my microwave. (Which I NEVER use! I hate microwaved food!) Right now I have to refresh twice I order to get a page to load! If ATT DSL was just a little faster 6 MPS compared to 12 mps for TWC, I'd switch, even if I had to install a telephone line!

    • I am no football savant as has been demonstrated here over and over, but I saw it.  I went for years doing the mock draft thing and researching the players that we might get around our pick, time consuming stuff. And we would get to the draft and trade the pick. All that time, wasted.  So I quit doing that. Also realized I was not a scout and would never be a scout and went to looking the videos and reports After  we picked a guy.  Maybe I would look at the 1st round, but quit that too and just looked after we picked.    When they did that trade I saw Bryce and his size and just ruled him out. Then it got to yeah they are probably going to take him, I relented and looked at some video and got to his pro day. It took me all of a few minutes to see the issues. The footwork. The arm. And the tape of games? The backyard style. I knew, what can I say?  (Also, went down the physical checklist, not a single plus attribute on the NFL level. Arm, speed, size, etc, nothing to offset the negatives. nothing)  I think it was easy for me because I had not watched a single game he played in college, and wasn’t drawn in by the hype. Had no preconceived notions and just looked at it pretty clinically.  I got in here and everyone was going “but look at what he did in college! It is the SEC, if he can do it in the SEC he can do it in the NFL!” Couldn’t reason with hardly anyone.  I don’t think I could tell you which guy would succeed between two prototypical guys with great arms and athleticism, and have no special insight into any of that. My one calling in football scouting was to see the real about what we were about to do. And you still don’t know for sure until they get in a real game in the NFL.
    • Miss Bryce sorely is possibly the most hilarious statement I have read on the Huddle in quite some time.
    • He did only throw 1 pass 20+ in that game. I think he is still struggling to adjust to the NFL. At Alabama he was able to extend plays and play backyard football. That's not only not the style of offense we have been running but his physical skills don't lend themselves to that style of play at this level.  So, the amount of issues he actually has to clean up are WAAAAAY more than I anticipated as a guy that had Bryce #1 on my board in that draft class.  I am just not seeing a reasonable path for him to clean it all up and develop in a reasonable timeframe
