Vijay Singh also won't be in the US Open - he bypassed the qualifiers yesterday, and won't be in the St. Jude Classic (where a 2nd place finish would've qualified him) this weekend. His streak of 67 consecutive majors ends.

He swings really hard. Actually injuries are pretty common in the PGA. All those guys seem to get bad backs.

As for me Tiger is the ultimate ratings generator and it's bad for golf.

Thanks for the explanation, and I agree that Golf is gonna take a major hit with Tiger out. Cause he's really the only reason I watch.

Phil, DJ, Bubba, Byrd, Mcilroy, Kaymer, Vegas, Stricker, Furyk, Westwood... so many great golfers.

Vegas failed to qualify in the sectional.

And with the US Open, the course itself usually ends up being the most fun thing to watch.
