Sweet tea is too sweet....

I remember my 1st job working at BoHangles... we put a pound of sugar into 1 container of sweet tea.. I don't know how much it holds, 5 gallons?

you shouldn't have to drink 100% sugar to be considered southern..

unless, southern = stupid..

I absolutely love sweet tea. Grew up on and it and use to drink it all the time. Now I only drink it occasionally but it is my drink of choice. Really sweet tea to the point where it taste syrupy is disgusting.

When I make about about 2 qts of sweet tea I put in between 1 1/4 - 1 1/3 cups of sugar. Just the way I like it. I prefer my sweet tea to any restaurants.

I make my tea ofr the most part, but occasionally have to deal with getting it elsewhere. Its always too sweet, I get it 1/2 sweet, 1/2 unsweet usually balances it out. I have mine down to 3/4 cup sugar for a 1/2gal. Its just right, not overly sweet at all. My wife, raised in the South, tells me its not sweet enough...

Moms used to make a gallon of sun tea and add in a lemonade frozen concentrate, now thats the stuff...

    • Looking like it might be game 7 for Pitt and Phi. Philly is spent. I like more rest for the canes
    • Moton is the man through and through. 2 things I'll always give Gettleman credit for, 1 is drafting Moton, the other is building a SB contending roster and blowing it up in one off-season
    • Kurb is still alive and well.  I’m still friends with him on all of the social media.  He truly is a great man!  That’s my bro!  He always looked out for me since the early days of the huddle.  It definitely makes me sad that he just quit posting here, but that’s life.  He still shares his takes on social media and X, but a lot of the huddle vets just grew tired of this format and the environment, I guess?  It’s a lot of guys that were valuable contributors here that just stopped posting but are still alive and passionate Panthers fans.  Blindsite used to post huge write-ups and was a well-respected poster and then just disappeared.  We had one of these type threads several years ago and he checked back in and explained he just lost the motivation to stay active here.  It was amazing hearing from him again…   I signed up in 04 after coming over from the Charlotte.com boards and been here ever since.  (For those that don’t know - this is Proudiddy - had to change the name very recently due to ‘ol tootsie roll penis and the bad press 😂).  I’m forever thankful for all of you, even those who I haven’t had the greatest history with, I still appreciate yall.  Many have come and gone, both figuratively and literally, and that has put a lot into perspective over the years.  I went from a young, newly married, wide-eyed twenty year-old guy with a baby on the way, to a now forty-two year-old guy, recently divorced and newly re-married guy with my oldest baby now an adult and 5 more kids since.  And what ride it has been!  You guys have been a much bigger part of my life than I really care to acknowledge.😂
