He is far and away the best QB prospect available and the most underrated free agent.

Matt Moore that is.

Sorry if this has been posted before from May 23 article

Pundits got excited about Kevin Kolb and what he was able to do to the San Francisco 49ers defense last season. However, he had a fair amount of talent around him. The same can't be said of Carolina, yet Moore threw for over 300 yards against the 49ers. If Kolb is worth a first round pick, teams should be parked outside Moore’s agent's office when free agency actually starts.

After receiving a one year, $3 million tender for the 2010 season, Moore should either be an unrestricted free agent, or a restricted free agent without draft pick considerations if signed.

He is far and away the best QB prospect available and the most underrated free agent QB.

wow!

Draft picks would be nice.

IMO, Matt was a victim of the way the O-line performed. To begin the year, the line was unsettled and underperformed, which by extension made the QB play suffer. By the time the O-line came around Matt was gone.

I said last year that Matt needed to come in and take the QB job. To a certain degree he did. But the O-line basically sabotaged his chances to succeed. I have to hope that he is healthy and ready to show he CAN play QB for the Panthers. Because if Matt can succeed it will help the Panthers, and take the pressure off Cameron.

Anyway that is what I think, and GOOOOO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Matt Moore has some good play on his resume. He should and will get another shot. If not with the Panthers, then somewhere else.

He has had the only standout games over the past 2 years of any panther QB so i would agree. I think he still has potential.

Based on stats alone, I would rather have Matt Moore as a QB than Kolb. Moore has started more games, thrown more passes, thrown more yards, and thrown more TD's.

I don't get why Kolb is so much more favored than Moore.

You are missing the interceptions, losses and ratings. But I agree I don't see a ton of difference in the two and one is hyped while the other is not.

I think bleacher report has a point

I love all the revisionist history around here about Matt Moore. Tons of people are excited about him now because other people are starting to sniff around him like he's a big shot and many are clamoring over him like they never left his side during that abysmal year he put up last season.

How about a little consistency? A lot of you folks didn't even want him when he was here and now you're butt hurt that he's going to be leaving potentially?

I have been extremely consistent about both Moore and Clausen

    • We had a QB who could do that and its the last time we went to the Super Bowl and the only time we had an MVP. Once he lost his ability to do that he was out of the league. To filter out insignificant stats I will only look at QBs who have played in 10 or more games this year. There are 28 qualifying QBs. Bryce is 25th in Air Yards per Attempt at 6.4. Only Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, and Dillon Gabriel are worse (6.0, 5.8, 5.1). Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud are the median QBs at 7.1. Drake Maye and Sam Darnold lead the league at 8.7. Bryce is 18th in the league for passes that travel 30+ yards at 12. The median is Caleb Williams at 15. The league leader is Matthew Stafford with 26. With passes that travel 40+ yards, Bryce is tied with three others at 21st in the league with 3. Only Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel are worse. The median is a three-way tie with Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, and Baker Mayfield with 6. The league leader is Sam Darnold with 12. Having the ability to complete passes down the field (not YAC) stretches the defense and makes them account for more ground. It keeps players out of the box and keeps formations in nickel or dime, less line backers for your RBs to worry about. Bryce is why we have 2 losses against the Saints. If he had the outright ability to sling the football down field we beat the easily, but he doesn't. So they crowded the box and our 2 starting caliber RBs with our top ~10 Oline couldn't carry the offense to a win on their own. The limitations of the offense fall squarely on Bryce.
    • Bryce’s deep passes are intermediate passes for other strong armed QBs. I will say that Bryce’s accuracy on his deep passes have improved. Before they would just sail out of bounds. Now the WR actually has a fighting chance on the ball.
    • And Dilfer won a SB, idc. Almost impossible to miss the playoffs when you have that good of a defense
