Kris Jenkins said Dan Morgan is the best defensive player he has ever played with.

I think Beason is a much better athlete than Morgan, which may be one of the reasons why he's been able to stay healthy (knock on wood).

Now your just plain being prejudiced because hes white, Morgan was a far more fluid athlete, he had a 4.44 40 time he was 12 pounds heavier and 2 inches taller, he also had a better 3 cone and vertical.

Did he really? then I stand (somewhat) corrected.

I can assure you it had nothing to do with race, just my purely subjective opinion. Dan may have had better combine measurables but in my experience of watching both I would rate Beason as a more fluid athlete. Combine measurables don't always translate to how someone plays.

I don't think I can agree with you on this one - Beason is a specimen, but Morgan was (and probably still is) one hell of an athlete. Each has their individual strengths, but overall I'd call this one a draw.

OK i sorry didn't mean to come across that way,I would agree Beason is in place more often, and he doesn't play with the kind of reckless abandon Morgan did(prob a good thing imo), I love them both Morgan was my favorite panther and now Beason is, to me the difference is Morgan inspired fear with the way he tackled, i can recall the game vs San Diego in 2004 Morgan chased down LT and suplexed him.

They are both great athletes, Morgan was bigger and faster though.

You guys are jokes if you don't believe this. I heard Dan was in on 23 tackles in the SB that year. He got hurt so much because he played so incredibly hard and hit so hard. I would rather have a healthy Morgan any day over Peppers

Morgan always gave 120% he was a monster, I mean Kris Jenkins was scared of him

people fail to remember Dan Morgan's playing days.. the dude was one of the most athletic guys on the field and a very smart/instinctive player..

Too bad he couldn't stay on the field. I don't have anything against the guy, but to me Morgan is kind of Exhibit A with what frustrates me with the Panthers. By the...I dunno, 4th time he was knocked out for the season on the first play of the first game and we didn't have a clear plan B, I was like, OK you're not even trying.
