Matt Moore Most Likely Gone

We won't be bringing Moore back? I'm shocked!

/sarcasm

I won't say "shocked" but I thought it would make sense to take him to camp, at least.

Early in the process, Hurney talked about him like it was a priority to bring him in. After they wrote that article about Scott Turner without ever mentioning his connection to Moore though, I said "uh oh" :(

something wrong with that sentence

not really. As of now, it's clear Cam is the best option on the roster, although he isn't proven on a professional field yet.

Pike wasn't given a chance.

Clausen was given too many chances.

So neither of them ever have proven anything for different reasons.

I'm starting to wonder if St. Pierre is gonna be the vet honestly...

Colin K was my favorite QB in this draft.

I don't get why you think it is so odd that I had a favorite team before the Panthers.

You've only been a football fan for some 15 years?

:willy_nilly:

Don't know where you get your stats.:confused:I've always been a football fan just never picked a favorite team to "stick with" and "follow" until the Panthers were born.Derp. I know being a fan of only one team is confusing to you, but I'm not gonna try to get you to understand that concept.

Well I believe you are in the minority then. I think many people had a favorite team growing up then when they decided to put a team in your city, people decided that was going to be their favorite team.

I'm a fan of football first, then a team, then a bunch of players (many of them non panthers).

Call me crazy.

I put the blame on Hurney and Fox for Moore's situation. Fox had pressure to play Clausen from Hurney and the fans, but Fox didn't have to fold under that pressure. Fox just didn't give a poo because it was his last season and then Moore getting hurt really put a stamp on the situation.

I don't have anything against Moore, but he doesn't have enough actual playing experience to be the kind of vet mentor QB we need and I'm guessing we're going to start Cam from day 1.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that.

The other school of thought was that he could be given a shot to start, improve his resume all while Cam sits and watches.

Moore wouldn't be the mentor, but could actually play in hopes of winning some games.

That's not the path they have chosen for the team and Cam so it's natural Moore is gone.

Agreed on that. I've said the same about his ability to mentor.

Hoping you're wrong on the last part.

    • They were giving those PFF analytics a priority...
    • I think they have totally tied themselves to BY9. Good luck with that.  If Dan can get that defense really stout he may be able to survive an offensive overhaul.
    • I think a couple of these will turn out better than a quick first impression might indicate.  Specifically the GB guy. I mean, that team and organization is depleted of talent and kind of headed towards the bottom. But I think the dud has some skills.  Head coach in college, with NFL cred too. Tough situation he is taking on.    And I hate to say, Atlanta.  Stefanski might be unleashed lol. Still has a QB deficit though. He’ll get a ton of owner support I think. Blank badly wants Matt Ryan to succeed.    I was cold on Tennessee but they are requiring Saleh to hire an experienced OC and they have some pieces on defense. It might be a little better than I expected at first. Won’t be great anytime soon though.     Harbaugh is proven and a lot of the NFC East is pretty shaky.    I think Baltimore could have fuged up. They apparently are allowing their QB to rule the roost and that ia really a suspect strategy.  OTOH that QB is very potent on the field and could make a mediocre coach look decent.     I am close to there on Buffalo, as far as did they fug up. I am not real optimistic for them, but could be totally wrong.    Pittsburg is the most interesting because of their incredible hiring success. One of these times it ain’t gonna work out so smooth for them. I mean they are kind of due. Will it be this time?     Arizona? Graveyard.  Las Vegas? Probably the same thing. But they might resurrect NE mojo in the desert. I guess it could happen.
