man... i really didn't think we were going to end up in the Joseph sweepstakes, especially with Cromartie and Rogers still out there

but when Clayton said there was going to be news last night, and then nothing... have to admit, i hoped hurney got a last minute word in with Joseph

can't wait for news to start pouring in today

qb - newton - clausen

rb - double trouble and goodson

fb - fiametta

wrs - smith, lafell, gettis, hawaiian dude, edwards

te - shockey, barnidge, hartSUCK

ol - Gross, Wharton, Kalil, ?, Otah

de- cj, hardy, brown, brayton

dt - edwards, 2 rooks

lb core(one of the best) - Beast, TD, Anderson, Connor

cb - Gamble, Cpt, Burney, several others

safeties - martin and godfrey (both played decent last year)

We have a tough schedule but im expecting around 8-8. TOO much talent not to unless you have a injury filled season like last. Im another one that LOL at ppl who think this team had 2-14 talent last year.

We essentially have pro bowler at RB, WR, TE, LT, C, RT, DE, MLB, OLB, and CB. Not saying they will, but they have that talent. You can say the same thing about a lot of teams in the league sure, but their is mad talent on this team. Its all up to Cam on how far we go. Hes got the pieces around him.

you build through the draft not overpriced free agents...we have brandon hogan and kendrick burney to try and evaluate this year..if we can get another CB on the cheap sure, but they aren't going to make us world beaters themselves.

or...

and this may seem crazy...

you bring in some talent to play while the young guys develop.

We need that at both QB and CB

This has been our strategy for 16 years and we have had a winning season exactly 4 times.

Maybe its time to try something different

that's all great but that's the fox era motto, starting the vet fa's over rookies and inexperienced players and they may not even be any better then them.

I think the FO is trying not to overbloat their salary cap number with high priced FA's, but with players they know and trust.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
