Can we talk about how bad WFNZ sucks?

Was listening to the Drive with Marc James and Taylor Zarzour yesterday - those two are seriously unbearable and I feel their crappy Panthers coverage warrants a thread. They kept interrupting Steve Smith in order to input multiple jock-sniffing comments and Marc James argued extensively with Smith about how he - not Sam Mills - was the "greatest Panther of all time," even though Smith was obviously trying to convey how important Mills was to him and his family.

Oh, and I can't tell you how annoying it is when Marc James calls Beason "Beese" like they're longtime boys or something. He repeatedly mentions how he and Beason went to Miami together. We have got to get some competition in the Charlotte market. Steve Reed is seriously the only good thing about that station, although James/Zarzour interrupt him so much he can hardly get a word out.

FWIW, I do like the Mac Attack, and seeing as Mac gets all the good interviews, ie., Hurney, Peppers, Florio, Smitty, etc. I think that's sort of understood around the market.

Say what you will but Packman was awesome. He was a douche@ times but was a master at his craft. He was also plugged in as far as the who's who in the sports world. Brett jensen is an asshole. Frank is okay@ times. When Buck was on,he was the realest and always told the brutal truth. Pack and Buck are gone because in Charlotte if you don't tote the company line...you don't last long. Taylor and Marc are fugin' atrocious. They have single handedly destroyed one of the greatest sports shows in the southeast. They need to go back to raw'liegh, fuging bums. They are still here because most people cannot stand them and call just to talk poo to them, which is still considered "interest" in the show.

However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup.
