the player i see lafell like is B. Lloyd, early in his career on the 9ers he would make the circus catch then drop an easy slant pass( 10 points for who can name the guy who play opposite of him in Illinois Hint. we picked him up in the 7th round )

no room on the team for martin though, who u gonna cut?

They'll make room if he keeps it up, probably at the cost of a fullback. Didn't see much of Rashawn Jackson last night anyway, and with Hartsock and Barnidge playing an H-back type of role...

Charly Martin is a work horse. All he does is run perfect routes and catch everything that is thrown his way. He may not be as fast or as big as the other guys, but he has the other players respect. We need to see more of him.

This. If we keep a sixth I hope it's him

It looks like to me that LaFell didnt do chit over the break. So far, it appears as though he coasted through the off season without doing much work and its showing. I hope he gets it together man, Naanee or him are gonna have to do and I didnt see either of em playing like a starting wideout last night. He's a 2nd year, learning how to prepare and study. That's something he shouldve learned last year.

There's still that sophomore slump trend with wr's whether its statistically proven or not I have no idea.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
