He isn't coming into the NFL expecting to play receiver.

If I get him in the NFL draft in the 4th round with the understanding he is going to be developed as a receiver and in a "slash" role, I ****** him up quick. But his agent and he are going to want QB time and money. And I am from Columbus and have been him play a lot of QB. And he will never make it as a QB in the NFL. Worst throwing motion I've seen for a major D1 QB in a long time.

I like him as a WR. Not sure what he is doing. Poor management perhaps. I feel like teams are gonna take pass just based on his looking like he is a stubborn kid who will not be coached.

I remember him holding out on national signing day, getting in a little trouble for selling stuff for tats or whatever (no biggie in my book) and not really dominating anything. All this adds up to trouble when you add in the QB thing. There is no doubt he is athletic. I think I would do a 4th for him as a committed receiver.

It's not worth it. Hell, we can get a 4th rounder next year at WR that will be better and actually have experience playing the position. Plus, he's suspend the first 5 games, there's no use for him.

I hated when he did that. He thought we were all waiting, anticipating his decision. Just pick a damn college.

I don't think the Panthers would get him if we awarded a 5th round pick.

I just think it would mess with team chemistry too much.

Even if he was told he is strictly a WR, if Cam got injured there would immediately be questions about putting him at QB.

It is just not a risk that we should or would take, but what do I know, I thought that getting Michael Vick would be a bad idea.

I don't see how he fits in Carolina at all.

I don't either.

I'm telling you, it makes all the sense in the world that a contending team and not a team in a rebuild flux takes a shot on Pryor. Maybe a team like Dallas; or the NY Giants, or San Diego, someone that is a dark horse in terms of who the media sees taking him. Someone who can afford the gamble of using a roster spot if it doesn't work out but sees boom potential with the guy in a slash role.

Where is Mike Mularkey working these days?

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
