Some of you are missing the point.

Some of the lesser members of this board are using his stats from yesterday to say he is already a bust. Here is the proof they are overreacting.

Comparing Josh Freeman and Cam Newton is somewhat laughable, while they are similar in some ways Newton has never shown to have the skills that Freeman does (college, etc). The reason that Freeman didn't get sacked as much as Newton could be that he ran to the outside, or forced a throw.

Plus, two different teams (o-line, etc) and different years. Rather pointless trying to compare 2011 Panthers with 2008 Panthers yes? Because the team is a lot different now.

If am not mistaken, Josh was treated just like Cam during the draft by many of the elite sports media folks. The difference was, Josh was not a threat to go very high, so there was no need to push the usual dumb black QB seterotypical stunts that seems to come to the surface everytime an black qb starts to threaten to get drafted to high in the minds of our so call sports gurus. :)

Gee, like who are they? The same folks who made it clear that they were going to overscrutinize Cam. I will take anything they say about Cam with a grain of salt. Unlike u, I don't let those who want to pretend to "know it all" based on second guessing, dictate how to see these athletes.

Of Cam is going to need work..DUH...So does all the other QBs who haven't had any OTAs and TCs. But it's clear them saying what they are saying is done to bring out the haters just as urself.

You've hated Newton as a player and a person since his name was first mentioned. If searching was enabled, I'm sure it would be a simple matter to find where you predicted he'll be a bust. I'm 99% sure you've either alluded strongly to it, or said it before.

We became the worst team through injuries and bad coaching, not having the worst starters in the league. Andy Dalton did very well Thursday, no? He has a much worst team then we do imo.

Yes, he did. But that's the point...Sometimes we tend to believe that because a team is preceived to be worst than us, we should play them that way. As we saw Thursday, no u shouldn't.

FYI, football is both offense and d-fense. Your offense could be playing off the charts but if ur d-fense is allowing the opposing team to be able to read "War and Peace" during every drive, that isn't going to help.
