What makes the Panthers sucking worse?

The fact that we live in Charlotte. Losing and looking bad in doing so sucks bad enough. In Charlotte you have to listen to transplants and bandwagon fans give their opinions on why our hometown team sucks. In Buffalo, when your team sucks you can commiserate with other losers of like mind because NOBODY moves to Buffalo, they all move away. Down here you have to hear not only transplants from crapholes like Buffalo and Pittsburgh, but also the local idiots that root for the Skins, Steelers, and Cowboys. They think a qualifier like "I'm an Eagles fan" before they opine about what we need to do to be a winning team makes them legit. If I have to hear "I'm a _______ fan, but I think the Panthers need to ________" one more time, I think I might just punch somebody in the face. I don't care if it's at a fancy place like the Wal-Mart, it's going down.

Back to work.

I've quit having civil conversations, much like this forum, there are very few people out of a 1,000 worth having a real football conversation with. until people quit talking bullpoo and tryin to pretend it's a valid opinion, come correct or stfu with your stupid opinion.. ;)

Man I hate that too! I hate listening to WFNZ when you have people like Kenny, Cowboy ___________, or Steeler _______, call in.

I usually just refrain from talking Football with anyone that I don't know, it's like politics, most people are just f'n clueless.

Even then, I tend to avoid talking about the Panthers with people that aren't fans all together because they typically have more knowledge about nuclear physics than they have the Panthers.

Plus I don't want to hear them brag about how great everything Pittsburgh is, even though they've never even entered the state of Pennsylvania.

    • That was always the fear, expectation, concern, etc, I had.  Someone showed a still shot from his pick last game and said it showed that the defender closed 3 yards on that ball in the last portion of its flight. I forget the number. 10 yards I think it said but that sounds extreme.  When guys are open by a step, any slowing down to wait for the ball lets the defender back into the play. That sort of stuff makes the margins so small… these NFL CBs are not slow.   It is a league that highly values foot speed; the 40 times and drill times are scrutinized down to the hundredth of a second when evaluating these players on both sides of the passing game. Receivers and defenders both.   My thing with his arm strength (or anyone’s) was always “why do you want to do that? Plus pay extra picks to put yourself in that situation?”. Asking for trouble.     I wish there was a way to measure velocity on the back half of a throw compared to when it left the hand. Or really get accurate reading of the flight time of a ball from the near hash to the sideline, 10 yards down the field. Because teams could use that info. I have always seen this as being a disadvantage with Bryce but it is beyond my ability to quantify it.   I think it would show what that arm strength is really about, a lot more than just measuring how much air can you put under it so it will fly as far as possible.
    • Who didn't see that coming....
    • Its a detriment if he can't play...as we are seeing.
