Cam's throw to Shockey was amazing!!

Amazingly dumb. Jake got burned at the stake for making such throws. With Cam, it's cool.

Jake threw up ducks for grabs. Jake wasn't throwing darts on a rope to the sideline. there is a difference.

If Cam had lobbed it up then it is a different story

I'm not going to say it was a good decision. That ball may have needed to been thrown out of bounds.

And I realize that it was incomplete. But the sheer physics of the play are amazing.

He was tackled from behind so he had no legs. He was falling forward so he had no trajectory Yet he throws a pass 27 yards down field with velocity.

If you can't see why that pass was amazing even though it was an incompletion then you are...

Darts can't be intercepted? Bad decision, though very athletic play.

not a bad decision.....Cam could of stood in the pocket and made an identical throw with no pressure and it wouldn't of been a bad decision. Cam can do things others can't......can't apply the standard rules Jake Delhomme played with to Cam.

He threw it to the sideline, well placed, on a rope, in one on one coverage.....avoiding the sack. It would have been a horrible decision for Clausen to attempt the throw b/c he doesn't have the skill set to attempt it.

If he threw that ball differently and in more coverage....it would have been a bad decision.

Throwing the ball down field, falling down with defenders hanging on to you is not a good decision. Granted, he got enough heat on it that the DB couldn't jump the pass. Shockey did a good job shielding the DB too.

You may be right on that particular play in a microcosm but what I fear is that suddenly he feels he should make that throw all the time and instead of taking sacks or throwing the ball away he is making tough, risky throws that could lead to turnovers.

oh yeah bro total double standard

that pass should have moved the chains on the pass interference and if shockey wasn't interfered with it's probably caught. i'm pretty sure jake has never made a throw like that in his career so if he was ever burned at the stake for it, someone should apologize to that man. he didn't get sacked, he didn't fumble and he didn't panic, so i'm not seeing the delhomme comparison.

Missed the point entirely.

How exactly do you shield someone when you are behind them with their head in your chest?

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
