Excerpt from Steve Reed's article, talking about how Piggy wanted to come back here first and foremost, despite having a few other options.

Shortly after being released Hangartner contacted his agent and asked if there was a way he could return to Carolina.

"Quite honestly, I never really wanted to leave here in the first place, so I'm happy to be back," Hangartner said. "I had talked to Jordan (Gross) the day before and knew they had an issue at right guard. As soon as I knew I was getting released, I told my agent to call (general manager) Marty (Hurney) and see if they needed somebody. It worked out well.

"I still own a condo here, and my dad lives here, plus I've still got a lot of great friends on the team. It's real comfortable to come back here. I had a couple of different options, but this was my No. 1 choice, the place I wanted to be."

Depends on the player, but who doesn't love playing for an owner that overpays you if you preform? There are good players who have turned us down too. While money is a huge thing to offer it's about all we have to offer as of now. Looks like he skipped out on 09, 10 seasons and now is back. Lucky bastard skipped all hell, perfect timing, I bet no one loved to play here for those seasons.

Wharton is back-up LT. Question is, who is our back-up right tackle? Shwartz is hurt, right? We are putting all our faith into Otah again...

Well I knew Wharton would play LT in a pinch. I just was hoping we would bring in another swing tackle type.

Ziemba would play RT if Otah went down.

Good article about Hangman on Panthers.com

Loved the part where he said that he never wanted to leave here. Then, that he wanted to be back. As soon as he heard he was going to be released, he told his agrent to give Hurney a call to see if something could be worked out.

I really like our OL if we can stay healthy.

Gross-Wharton-Kalil-Hangman-Otah can really get it done in the run game.
