Madden 12: We May Have Underestimated Cam Newton

You guys played on xbox? or PS3?? I destroy people on PS3 with the panthers...I make people disconnect their systems lol

Madden 10 online with PS3 was easy. I had to go down early and come back just to be able to play a full game. Otherwise, they'd quit by the second quarter.

I'll stay and take the butt-whooping. Ask PantherfanB. I think I netted negative yardage against him.

Yeah, I'm excited for the ratings boost. I was a top player a couple years back (like top 500) and I barely played it... I've been playing an offline franchise, then played my first online games the other night... Lost the first one thanks to 3 fumbles. Beat the second guy 42-14 with us, he was using the Pats, and I was only awarded 12 skill points, lol.

I was pissed and didn't know if I wanted to play online anymore.

Now I do, lol. Can't wait to see them add guys like Tutu, Butler, and Thomas Williams too.

tutu already on there if im not mistaken. think he is rated low 60s.

back to the main topic, i like how they do updates from week to week but it would be more fun i was able to play the games accordingly. for example, play greenbay day of, wait for stats/updates and then play nxt game on game day..etc

Compared to past Maddens, Madden 12 is actually a HUGE leap as far as accurate facial features and players being the right skin color, hair color etc. I can't remember which one it was but it was horrendous someone's hair was red, and people were wrong colors...I think king looked Hispanic and Rosario, Caucasian. It was bad, I wonder if they got the more popular teams right I should have paid attention.

They gave cam a generic face scan, including mustache.

In contrast, Terrelle Pryor had a custom face scan.

Cam is a beast for such a low rating. he seriously plays like a 90 overall QB. the running ability definitely adds to the mix. also, having smitty and olsen help a lot too. i also moved gettis back up to number two on the depth chart and he's a beast. anyone on xbox, hit me up. i'm down to play! I am on my 8th season and he is a 93 so that is good to hear.

His running abilities are godly. get a deep zone from the defense and its 10 easy and feel free to fight for more yards (up on the right stick).

I would also like to add franchise mode is crap. I have 3 years 90+ As everywhere. No cheating just sort through the potential and draft the top 15 every year no matter the position.

Sorry if I jsut ruined it for anyone but it isn't a cheat or secret really.

You can ass rape someone on picks too. To the right team a high round 3rd is worth next years top 3 picks lmao. a B player 75-80 is worth next years first and maybe second.

Players who resign do it for pennies, hell all players will sign for pennies. Cap space has no meaning if you can do basic math.

These are things that are new and suck, because in 10 there were at least some limitations and although you could still rape for picks you couldn't rape two years worth, that's all that 'all new trade next years picks!" means.

Way way too easy. Madden 11= all online.

the computer forces cam to fumble whenever i run, even tho he has an 84 carry rating and i juke the other players defender that they are controlling just for the AI controlled defender to tackle and 50% of the time cause Cam to fumble. Of course if The Golden Calf of Bristol is carrying the ball i'll hit stick and strip ball from him 5 times in a quarter and he will still have the damn ball without even the slightest sign of a drop.

    • Derrick Brown was one player I never called or even suggested was a bust . Dude was young and hadn't even hit his stride. It takes time to learn the position. The thing I appreciated about him is that he kept improving season after season. He got paid and keeps on going like the Energizer Bunny.
    • How many teams coddle their QB the way Bryce has been coddled? I have never seen any other team in the NFL EVER baby a QB the way that Bryce has been.  Bryce was named day 1 starter his first year. It was obvious he didnt deserve it. He wasnt ready as evidenced by the worst rookie year in NFL history.  So let's move to year 2. He's named starter again with no competition in TC and is benched 2 games later. We have the ghost of a backup in Dalton who is so bad he can only beat Vegas and let's remember, the only reason he lost his starting job was a car accident, not because Bryce actually beat him out in practice.  And year 3. We sign Dalton again, who already proved he couldn't be depended on to put an even remotely passable performance on the field, and bring back Jack Plummer, who was even worse than last year. It was obvious he was nothing more than a pretend body in an attempt to create an illusion of some type of attempt to find a backup.  Then we start again with garbage play again and Bryce gets benched with a phantom injury, and the ghost of the ghost of Dalton breaks his thumb on the first drive and craps the field all over again. If we had actually made an attempt to find a legitimate QB2, it's possible Bryce doesn't step on the field again. Bryce is not agood QB and if we had any other mediocre QB, our record would be the same or better.  Bryce is not entrenched. He's been placed, protected and sheltered from ever having to face a  real QB competition in TC. Richardson and Levis both were ass and both were benched and eventually replaced.  Do I expect Baker to face competition in camp? Sure. I expect Tampa to find the best QB2 they can at price that fits their cap and resources and system and get him up to speed. If he's better than Baker, and if he's better by a significant margin, that's best for the team. The ultimate goal is a Super Bowl. Bellichek was constantly getting QB2s with the GOAT as his starter. He knew the value and that was realized when Cassell led them to an 11-5 record as a backup.  You and I may think differently than the people that matter but I will say it again. If you're afraid to bring in a capable backup, especially after the debacle of last year. The starting role wasn't earned, it was given, and that's loser mentality.
    • I would have done the same thing.  LSU is a much better job than Ole Miss.  Plus the enormous contract and every advantage a college team can offer in terms of recruiting and facilities and tradition etc
