Panthers/Jags game in Las Vegas

Recommended Posts

I am in frigging Las Vegas on Sunday so I can't make the game. I hear the ESPN Zone at NYNY is closed. Can anybody recommend a place to watch the game? A sports book (my preference) is out of the question because my kids will be with me. I will have a car.

You'll have a car? Think like a local, not a tourist. Applebee's or any other sports-bar type place. Check YELP

Hey look - there's a Buffalo Wild Wings!

I don't know if you'll be able to go to Lagasse's Stadium (sports bar) at the Palazzo. It's a decent place, but I think that acts like their sportsbook.

I'd rather stab myself in the face with a shovel than go to Applebees. BWWs or Blondies it will be. Thanks for the yelp link though.

Applebees serves a purpose for some, don't knock it if it's your only option.

I think there's some bar/restaurants in the Miracle Mile shops (at Planet Hollywood casino) that could work if you're thinking of sticking near the strip. Link: http://www.vegas.com/searchagent/restaurant/ViewRestaurant.do?restaurantId=3821

The LVRJ said in 2010 that there wasn't a locals Carolina Panthers bar, but maybe one of the other team bars mentioned could work for you?

I called Blondies. They require a reservation for a table and a $25 per person deposit for everybody at the table. So for me, my wife, my 6 year old, and my 18 month old I'd have to shell out $100 up front. If our tab is not over $100, we lose whatever the difference is. I can easily down $100 in beer and wings, but it's the principle. Reservation lasts from 10AM-1PM. If your game goes into OT, you still have to vacate your table at 1PM.

Buffalo Wild Wings it is.

Man that sucks about Blondies. They never used to do that. ID always just walk across the street from the Bellagio and be good to go. Maybe because I'd come in and get the $20 drink deal and a fatass sammich right off the bat?

Are you COMPLANING about being in Vegas on an NFL Sunday? There is no better place to watch the action unfold......

I'd rather watch from my seats in BofA.

Taking the wife to Del Friscos sunday night. Might have to take her to the Rhino for a "night cap".

Whatever you do, do not play craps at the Cosmopolitan. I have been a devoted craps player since I turned 21, and have made money on every table in Vegas. Except Cosmopolitan. They are the coldest tables I have ever seen, and that's even when I have just been a spectator walking by.

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
