Justin Blackmon - 6'1" 215lbs - 4.5 Speed

Pro Comparison - Anquan Boldin. Catches everything thrown his way. Deceptively fast. Very good ball skills and run after catch.

Pro Comparison - Terrell Owens - He probably fits our scheme better than Blackmon. Chud likes those tall, rangy WRs that can be a jump ball, deep threat.

Michael Floyd - 6'3" 224lbs - 4.5 Speed

Pro Comparison - Kenny Britt - Has all the physical tools you look for. Great blocker. Decent route runner. Inconsistent hands, and very poor release off the snap. Relys on his physicality to get separation. High bust potential due to immaturity.

Ryan Broyles - 5'10" 188lbs - 4.4 Speed

Pro Comparison - Eddie Royal - Very very quick. Great hands and elusivness. Great punt returner. Smaller body type, thus, may be a better slot guy.. but he will be one of the elite slot guys in this league.

I really like Justin Blackmon. I think his build is great and he reminds me of T.O.

I think he will be pretty good.

I also like Jeffrey. Hes tall and could be great red zone threat. Either one of these guys would be awesome to have on out lineup. Just think. Smitty, gettis, lafell, Jeffrey or blackmon, armanti, pilares, and tutu if he turns out pretty good. That's a hell of a wr core. Cam would then be throwing for like a zillion yards.

As much as I want this. I think they will pick up a corner or and offensive lineman. The upcoming draft has got me excited and I'm never excited this early

My week 3 big board for the 2012 draft:

Matt Kalil

Jeffrey/Blackmon (not sure which I'd rather have)

Top CB

That is the order of BPA, it would seem to me, at positions we need. I think Kalil will be the best pro of the bunch (and likely drafted the highest) and the brother connection is just icing on the cake. And I think Jeffrey and Blackmon will be better pros than any of the CBs. None of the CBs really WOW me yet, but there's plenty of games left.

The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to think WR could be our biggest need come draft day. Smitty doesn't have that many good years left and we really don't know what we'll be getting from Gettis next year.

If we're in position to take Blackmon I think we have to.

That said, I'm a MUCH bigger Blackmon fan than Jeffery. Watching Blackmon's highlights he looks like an NFL receiver; Jeffery just doesn't. He looks slow and while his hands are like glue, from what I've seen he struggles some to get separation. On many of those catches he had a defender draped all over him. I also don't see the ability to stretch the field and that's critical in this offense.

What worries me is that the Rams and Jaguars are both likely to be picking before us and both have huge needs at WR. No way Blackmon (or Jeffery for that matter) makes it past them.

I almost think trading up for Blackmon should be a legitimate option on the table. I think this guy could absolutely light up the NFL in our offense with Cam throwing to him. Pair him with Smith for a year or two with LaFell and Gettis for depth and with our RB's & TE's -- fuging upstoppable.

Not that I'd be upset with Jeffery; I just don't see an elite NFL WR in him. But if Hurney thinks otherwise, go for it. I wouldn't be upset at all, though, with giving up our 2nd rounder to move up for Blackmon. I think he's going to be THAT good.

My biggest question about either Blackmon or Jeffrey is their diva factor. Is Blackmon gonna go buy 235 million dollars worth of jewelry before he steps foot on the field? I'd honestly let the deciding factor between the two (if we had our choice) be which one has a better head on his shoulders.

All I know is no 1st round WR. They bust more then they hit and really IMO WR is the position you spend 1st rounders on only if your team is complete outside of it. Which we aren't even close. DT/CB/OLB/RG once there good then go after a WR in the 1st.

My guy is a mid-rounder (3rd-4th) Mohamaed Sanu of Rutgers. 6'2" 220 and is probably the most versatile receiver in college football. He was there wildcat back, receiver, he can pass (HS QB), hell he can even punt if you want. He is a physical receiver and will battle for the ball in the air. He also has good hands and has great YAC ability. Already has 43 rec and 428 yards with 5 tds this year. Not going to blow by you and wont time very high but hes quicker then he is fast. Probably a 3rd-4th rounder.

I'd have to disagree with you about no first round WRs. Look at the last few: AJ Green and Jones are having good rookie years, Bryant is playing well (but he's an idiot), Demaryeus Thomas and Haywood-Bay are the only ones you could call potential busts, Crabtree is middle of the road but not exactly living up to his potential yet, Kenny Britt and Nicks have been monsters. That's probably a better ratio than 1st round QBs. After the first round or two, it's all a matter of luck anyway. I'd rather have Blackmon or Jeffrey than any other WRs in this draft, none of the others stand out at all.

      See this is the problem, you say "can't get off the line quick" and "can't separate quick" but in reality it's "he can get off the line better and create more separation" which are two completely different things. If he couldn't get off the line or separate, he wouldn't have put up the numbers he did and end up a Top 10 pick. But he can get better, and maybe more accurately, consistent with them both, and that will take his game to the next level.  These are things that are also much easier to improve once you get to the NFL than things like being a poor route runner or having bad hands, two of his strengths. Thinking he can't get open in the short passing game also shows you haven't watched enough tape on him, as he was used in that role so much in college with little issue getting open and making plays. And him not using his physicality as much isn't even something that hurts his game because he's so much more agile than a player of his size should be, which he used to his advantage.  Instead of throwing passes where he'd go up and box out a player like a TE or Mike Evans does, they use his athleticism and put the ball in places that only he can get to it, and he usually does (and yes, he'll still be able to do that against NFL DB's with his catch radius). But now that he's in the NFL, I'd like to see him get stronger and add that to his game because it also will help him take his game to another level. As I've said before, if he doesn't improve on those things at all, I think he's a Top 25 WR in this league, he's already that good.  But I think he'll improve on those things and be a perennial Top 10 WR and in his prime is considered and perform like Top 5 guy in some years. My expectations for him this year at 800 yards and 8 TDs (although I do think he'll get to 10 TDs) with a real chance at getting to 1,000.  But those expectations are because I think Thielen will lead the team in yards with close to 1k and XL/Coker each end up in the 500-600 range themselves, just too many mouths to feed this year for a rookie to dominate yardage, especially if we're running the ball well again. But if Thielen can't stay healthy or puts up sub 750 yards, then yea, my expectations for T-Mac likely shift to getting to 1k as a rookie.
