Is DWill healthy?

It means something when he was injured for "1/4 of the season"

Plus his injury in 2009 doesn't correlate with his injury last year. I agree with you that age is a factor. When I made that thread yesterday I stated that our money could have been used wisely elsewhere. But not because of his talent or injuries but rather the offense.

it correlates with him being an aging RB.....and in the NFL, 28 is an older RB.

also, most RBs enter the league w/ a tiny fraction of the work load on their tires that Williams had.

Shocker cra being negative aboutone of our players.....see godfrey....yea how's Pugh workin out

Find 1 negative post have made about Godfrey this season

Find 1 negative post I have made about Pugh ever.

I bashed Delhomme post AZ.

I bashed Fox

I bashed the first couple years of Godfrey's play

I bashed Clausen being a fit in Carolina

I bashed DWill's extension.

those are the only stances I have legitimately taken a negative stand on here. Personally, I think most should agree with the majority of those.

all the RBs?

there's peterson, johnson, and williams. who else got a big contract?

Johnson heldout as well....

Hasselback was talkin the other day about what a huge mistake that was and if he was the GM/coach. That would never be allowed to happen. Said, he has struggled just knowing where CJ is going to be often.

He's fine, he's had a few nice runs this season, but mainly, this is about a lack of opportunities.

We have hardly ran the ball and when we have the holes just haven't been there.

For the record, D'lo didn't go on IR in 2009 and wouldn't of last year if we weren't having such a terrible season. His injury wasn't severe in the slightest. Stewy is the guy you have to worry about when it comes to this kind of thing.

He'll be fine once we make a committment to running the football.

johnson held out rightfuly so. he is the only thing tennessee has going for them, and what carolina gave williams was a slap in the face to what he was making.

hasselbeck is nothing more than a stop gap with an opinion. johnson will still be there when hasselbeck is a forgotten afterthought .

Bradshaw went looking for one.....then realized no one was willing to pay for his services

he went looking for one because, like other backs, felt insulted by what carolina paid an aging part time running back.

the onlybacks in the league who deserved that kind of money was peterson and johnson...and the 2 of them are now overpaid because of the "standard" carolina set by overpaying williams.

    • Lol. The Texans are literally one of Bryce's six career NFL wins. WTF are you talking about?
    • Yeah, I mean it is a statistical fact and also part of literally a player evaluation. Winston has literally lost dozens of games in his NFL career due to crippling TO's. It's just who he is. Look, it's fun when those insane throws work and he is leading you back from some crazy deficit. But those success are rare. It's why his career GWD count is so low. He's fun but he is fundamentally built to lose games.  If you are talking about a backup QB, you are literally already losing in the first place. That's how you see a backup QB and that's overwhelmingly what they tend to do. Rookie QB's almost always benefit from veteran QB's. Same as literally any other position in the NFL. Why do you think that you so often hear that from the playera themselves? As for Bryce NEEDING one, no he sure as poo shouldn't this late in the game. But he also shouldn't have needed this fuging long to get his fuging footwork straightened out either. Yet here we are.
    • Comfortability is the primary reason. They don't want to hurt Bryce's confidence. But I say if his confidence is that fragile that healthy competition which makes everyone better is enough for them to keep making Andy Dalton rich then Bryce was never going to be the guy anyway. Give me the QB who sees the competition amongst his peers and uses it to take it to the next level. Instead we get the guy who comes out looking like a deer in the headlights against the Texans after we've done everything possible to appease him. Definition of complacency.
