Personally I feel there will be no changes in who starts at RB but look for Stew to get more playin time...DW seems to be starting that "dance" run he was doing when he was a rookie...

Yeah, I noted that earlier in the the thread. He's not making quick decisions, and when he does decide, it's wrong.

Looks like DeAngelo was correct.

Ahh, not so fast my friend...

It seems either one is correct.

Don't think it has to do anything with gelling since Stewart has been getting it done in both the passing and running game.

I love me some Williams but he is in a slump, no doubt about it.

I you really think averaging 2.5 yards per carry before today means getting it done in the running game, then more power to you.

Yep the exact same offensive line we had during the last two games in 2008 (when we rushed for a combined 398 yards) suddenly became terrible, I'm sure that's what happened.

panthers55 is correct in that the way we call running plays and run block as a whole now is completely different. But J-Stew was successful under Fox, and he's been successful when given the chance now. It's not unreasonable for us to expect the same out of Deangelo. Mostly because of that ridiculously, retardedly large contract extension we gave him.

Also, the great ones get it done, regardless of the blocking in front of them.

We definitely aren't getting the push or opening the holes we were.

At one point we were opening holes so big I could have run 20 times for 100 yards if my spleen could hold up.

But defenses have been tightening up since we lost our passing attack.

Running game is decided by blocking, all the more reason not to spend too much money on RB. Get out there and do it for ONLY 500K a year

Pretty sure we were averaging 6-10 ypc during that time frame. Few times Stewie could have gone for big yards and just fell down in the open field.

That's when Otah was a pancake machine though.

Its not the DT chasing me I'm really worried about. Its the LBs closing in.

Getting the snot knocked out of you is a very real thing.
