Not sure if this has been discussed. If so just delete or merge.

Tim Layden had a great article on Cam Newton this past week for Sports Illustrated. For those who don't get the magazine and/or wanted to read the 4 page story here is a link to the article.

Really good stuff.

Again if this has already been posted (the article is a few days old) my apologies, but I didn't see it on here.

this is interesting:

Newton is measured but frustrated. Asked if he feels compelled to run from the pocket, he says, "No." Asked about one of those late red zone failures, he begins with, "One of the receivers ran the wrong route"—the wrong way to start that answer no matter what follows.

i like this though:

The session lasts for just more than eight minutes. Already the ritual is getting old, as the rookie chases a win.

I went back 8 pages to a day before I believe the story was even posted and didn't see anything. Again if it has been on here already my bad.

The article was written first in the magazine version of Sports Illustrated last week, and someone posted a link to the text of the story before the magazine came out. You might notice it doesn't mention the win over the Jags even though that happened before the story was posted.
