Coaching Staff: Not as Good As We Hoped?

With the hand Rivera and staff has been dealt, I'm not too upset with the coaching staff and it's results.

However, Murphey or whatever the special team's guy name is HAS GOT TO GO. We are still terrible on that side of the ball. Which is embarrassing.

Chud needs to find some sort of balance with his playcalling, or Rivera needs to tighten the reigns on Chuds' total control on offensive playcalling, because the guy is going way too pass happy with our rookie QB.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE FIX THAT REDZONE PLAYCALLING. SH*T!

Mcdermott is meh, given the hand he's been dealt with 2 allpro starting LBs out for the year. A revolving door at #1 CB every other week, 2 rookies at DT (one who can't stay on the LOS during run plays) He's doing alright..

This is a rookie staff.. we've got to realize that and lower our expectations.

I can't really disagree with most of that. Remember we have a new HC that is also learning. We have injuries, we have some holes to fill. We were the worst team in the league last year. We had a shortened training camp. We are at least now competitive against any team. Give us a year or two to get the people we need, and we're going to be a force.

If Rivera does not start learning from his mistakes, I will join the "he's the anti-Fox, but that don't make him good" crowd.

Just because he's "ballsy" and people spent so much time hating on Fox for being conservative, doesn't mean he's good. He's a smart coach, but to be considered intelligent, you have to know when to slow the game down and be smart. Forgetting his lovey alliance to Naanee wouldn't be a bad start either.

How does coaching relate to kicking it out of bounds? Why do you need to tell a kicker that has been in the NFL for 9 or so years to not kick to Devin Hester? That's common sense.

This team is beat up and really young. We'll get it eventually, but you have to have some patience.

I guess some of you are just now realizing that we are very low on experience and depth currently. This has caused poor ST and defensive play.

Our special teams took a huge hit when big Gary B went down. No one has replaced him.

u mad brah?

You seem to whining an awful lot. I made a thread calling out the coaching staff for their deficiencies through the first four weeks. Don't see why you're being so childish. Tampon jokes? lol. 7th grade called, dude.
