I am definitely biased but please Cam Newton is way better than Dalton anyone can see that. And I think he's smart enough to really develop and get even better. I don't want to see him succeed because we're in the same division but yes he scares me without a doubt.

That being said I'll still take Brees any day of the week as the leader of my team. Cam has shown amazing potential thus far and he's racked up some stats, but his team is still 1-4 and he threw an 8 yard sideline route completion from his own 41 yard line with 11 seconds on the clock to end the game today (??). Brees would have never done that. You continue to look for the open man downfield regardless of the pressure, especially with Cam's athleticism. But again, he's a rookie and he'll make mistakes. I'm not trying to gloat honestly I just think it's worth pointing out the negatives along with the positives. He's right there, and coming along faster than anyone expected, but celebrating his stats in losing efforts on ESPN and ignoring fundamental breakdowns are going to make this kid feel satisfied and I don't think that's what you guys want.

PS - Sorry for User ID but you guys asked for it the only thing worse than the constant waiving of those signs was the constant television cutaways to them. Auburn made that up. Lame.

Yeah Cam is definitely one to be satisfied with losing so long as he looks good doing it as the past few weeks have shown.

I like how some of them claim, Newton got most of his yards in garbage time, when his team was way down.

It's not true, of course..

Isn't that how Brees got 400+ of his yards though? They were behind the Packers the entire game in week 1. Not even really close to catching up to the Packers until the very end of the game.

Hmmm......I seem to remember a certain saint chant that was made up in another state? Lame.

"Who Dat" became part of a chant for fans cheering on their favorite team. It has been debated exactly where it started, but some claim it began with Southern University Jaguars fans either in the late 1960s or early 1970s and went "Who dat talkin' 'bout beatin' dem Jags".[5] Another claim is that it was connected with St. Augustine High School, a historically African-American all-boys Catholic high school in New Orleans, and yet another is that the cheer originated at Patterson High School in Patterson, Louisiana (home of Saints running back Dalton Hilliard).[4] In the late 1970s fans at Alcorn State University and Louisiana State University picked up on the cheer.[6] Fans of professional wrestler Junkyard Dog, a star on the Mid-South Wrestling circuit from 1979 to 1984 who frequently appeared in events at the Louisiana Superdome and Municipal Auditorium in New Orleans, had a similar chant: "Who dat think they gonna beat that Dog".[7]

By 1983 the cheer had become so popular among fans that the New Orleans Saints organization officially adopted it during the tenure of coach Bum Phillips, and Aaron Neville (along with local musicians Sal and Steve Monistere and Carlo Nuccio) recorded a version of "When the Saints Go Marching In" that incorporated the chant of "Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints" (performed by a group of Saints players).

I'm sorry what part of that was done outside of Louisiana again?

Uhhh. Why don't you link that entire thread? Some say Cam. Some say Julio Jones. Some say A.J. Green.

The OP of that thread is not all Saints fans. It's one man's opinion who happens to be a Saints fan.

There are smart posters over there, don't get me wrong. However the smart ones are drowned out by all the uneducated retards over there.

What does it matter if ESPN celebrates him like they do? Is that his fault? Friggin Cam isn't working at ESPN. Funny thing is you assume Cam even listens to the media or cares what they have to say? What part of Cam has shown he would stay satisfied? This is the same type of poo you guys were saying when he was drafted, like Cam would get lazy and fat once he was drafted since he got his money. Say what you want about him, but he has never been lazy or complacent in his football career. He has said it himself numerous times all he cares about is winning and that is reflected by his demeanor in the locker room after every loss.

    • This is from 5 months ago. It was one or the other. Trade for one or draft one. We apparently called the Jets about Wilson. We also talked to the Seahawks about Metcalf. Drafting our own guy was the best course of action given the required investment. Regardless now is the time for Bryce Young to produce. We are fourth amongst all teams in cap spending on the OL. Back to back first round picks at WR and multiple young TE draft picks now. Very solid and respectable backfield. New pieces across the defense. The time is now.
    • That was just the worst time to have their worst game of the season. One key deal was the broncos guess the Panthers would NOT change any plays or flow to the game. Another key point overlook that bronco defense was truly one of the best in the NFL history. It was the best defense the Panthers faced that year, by far. They were not ready for it, but broncos were ready for the Panthers. Mix in that bad luck, poor refs showcase, and this is the golden boys last game........ Panthers needed to win by 20 and the broncos defense was not going to allow that.  Panthers were the faviotes and I believe they also thought that it was going to easier than them destorying NFC playoff teams as they marched to the SB. I've heard darin Gantt say the play calls were to give remmers help, but for some reason the team never did it. During the year they never had that problem, so maybe never practiced giving help via TE/RB, or WR chip. Cam was superman that year, no need for any adjustments...... Until you meet a legendary defense with studs at all levels, Think about it, Peyton was throwing wingless dunks for the whole season, the defense had to carry his corpse to the SB. That's how good they were, no many defense are able to get to the playoffs and win a SB without decent QB play. If you recall the beginning of that denfese took Tim Teblows and his non-throwing arse to the playoffs couple years before. That's insane the level of defense needed to overcome.
    • Who cares if he paid for such small benefits out of his own pocket? The NCAA is a joke. They need to be offering such anyway, especially for Uber rides (which actually seems like a good idea).
