I think we blow the Falcons out on Sunday

Amazing that some Panthers fans think higher of Ryan than most Falcon fans do.

Here's the scoop on Ryan, and if any Falcon fan wants to dispute it, just remember-I'm following your lead.

Smart QB. Accurate QB.

Those are about the limits of his good qualities.

He is somewhat nervous in the pocket. He has a very limited repertoire of throws-his weak arm severely limits Atlanta's offensive playbook. It allows defenses to creep up without fear of being beat deep. That shuts down the short passing game, the screen game, the ability to check down, and most importantly, the run game.

Atlanta's offensive is very similar to what ours was like last year, in terms of teams game plan and prepare for it.

I would rather we not get too blitz heavy this Sunday, Ryan is still a four year vet who likes to throw short-he will be comfortable doing so. Blitz him too much and that opens up their short passing game-the very thing that I mentioned playing coverage will slow down.

The only reason he has been nervous in the pocket lately is because the O Line acted like they were playing for the Bears, and Ryan was taking hits like Cutler. Now they're shaping up a bit.

His arm isn't weak, he is just bloody horrible with deep ball accuracy.

Never underestimate the short pass. Our receivers have the skill to extend short plays.

Our offense is similar to yours from last year? Explain that one to me.

False.

Sorry, but a weak team like Jacksonville hardly counts. Did Cam score on the last drive of the game? That's a true game winning drive. Not just coming from behind in the 4th quarter. Great example is Matt Ryan vs the Ravens/Packers in 2010. I believe he had less than a minute on both drives to get down the field.

You guys are sick. Matt Ryan and MT will tear up your defense on Sunday. I guarantee it. You can't come to the Dome and blow us out since you're nowhere near as good as the Packers, and they're the only team to do so. Also, Matt Ryan has never once in his career lost consecutive games in the dome. I will admit, the Panthers are growing and will be a big threat next year, and the seasons to come, but there is no way you will beat us at home. I'll give you guys a chance in Charlotte though.

Don't take this as a message where I'm talking crap, just saying what I'm thinking. And if by some crazy event you win, I will admit how wrong I was without a doubt, but I know it won't happen because you guys aren't ready to beat us yet. Don't get ahead of yourselves.

No matter how great Cam is, he is still a rookie who has yet to have a come from behind winning drive, and even though his stats are superb, it hardly matters if you can't win games.

Even so, we are also a bit knicked up from the Packers game, so it could become a shootout, I just don't see us losing this game at all. And if we do, I'll be more happy than sad, because it might open Smitty's eyes and we can get new coordinators!

Well all that is real chute but keep in mind the Packers did not blow us out.I hate to push you out of your sandbox this game is up for grabs.By the way you are talking crap

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
